  • Publication number: 20230353996
Abstract: Systems and methods for a micro-service data gateway are provided. In some embodiments, the micro-service data gateway comprises at least a micro-service data reflector and a micro-service data synthesizer. The data reflector operates to serve cached micro-service data in response to UE micro-service data requests. The reflector receives requests for micro-service data available from at least one data source exposed by a network exposure function (NEF) of a network operator core, retrieves the micro-service data from a data cache comprising at least a subset of micro-service data available from the data source, and provides the micro-service data to a requestor of the micro-service data. The synthesizer operates to ensure that the cache of micro-service data available to the reflector is fresh and updated. The micro-service data gateway may be positioned near the UE at a network edge of the core network and/or in part implemented within the UE.

  • Patent number: 9026354
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media are provided to determine optimal locations at which it is suggested that a mobile device download portions of a map corresponding to an initial location and a destination location. A navigation server receives an indication of an initial location and a destination location from the mobile device and retrieves a map corresponding to a route between the two locations. A first download location is determined based on one or more of signal strength, a time of day that the map is likely to be downloaded, periods of known high saturation, a battery level of the mobile device, and/or a cost associated with roaming. Using one or more of these factors, the first download location is determined and is communicated to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 8471868
Abstract: System, methods, and computer-readable media for providing a gesture-controlled user interface in interacting with a communication device are provided. Embodiments of the present invention include a communication device that recognizes a gesture made by a person that has one or more transducers attached to their hand. The gesture is recognized by performing calculations on the sound waves received from the one or more transducers. In addition, the gesture may be recognized using a digital camera and image recognition techniques. In one embodiment, the gesture is recognized using an echolocation system that transmits ultrasonic waves and captures the waves reflected off the object making the gesture. In another embodiment, the gesture is made and interpreted in relation to a user interface that is projected from the communication device using a laser projector.

  • Patent number: 7925304
Abstract: An audio manipulation method is provided. A call associated with a mobile device is received. Whether an audio manipulation flag is set for the mobile device is determined. An audio signal from the mobile device is manipulated based on an audio manipulation selection in response to a determination that the audio manipulation flag is set for the mobile device. The manipulated audio signal is routed to a receiver communicating with the mobile device.
