Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to cash handling devices that provide intelligent monitoring and management of cash cycles. A cash handling device having at least one processor, a communication interface, and memory may receive, from a mobile device, a request to process a pre-staged transaction. Subsequently, the cash handling device may generate and present a graphical identifier based on the mobile device requesting access to the cash handling device. Next, the cash handling device may verify that the mobile device is authorized to perform the pre-staged transaction based on the graphical identifier being scanned by the mobile device and cause a connection to be established between the cash handling device and the mobile device. Thereafter, the cash handling device may identify and process the pre-staged transaction associated with the mobile device. Then, the cash handling device may generate a notification indicating completed processing of the identified pre-staged transaction.

Abstract: A method is directed to using a multifunction printer to identify pages of a printed document that have a specified text string. The method comprises electronically converting, with the multifunction printer, a plurality of pages of the printed document to a plurality of electronic text pages corresponding to the printed pages. The multifunction printer electronically searches the plurality of electronic text pages to identify which electronic text pages include the specified text string. The multifunction printer then communicates the identified electronic text pages to the user.

Abstract: An automatic card shuffler includes a card input unit, card ejection unit, card separation and delivery unit and card collection unit. A card ejection unit ejects cards in a singular fashion from a stack of cards placed into the input unit. The cards are ejected to a stop arm maintaining the entrance to the card separation unit. Adjustment means permit the shuffler to accommodate different sized cards. Upon processor command, the stop arm raises to allow a plurality of cards to pass under to the card separation and delivery unit. A series of rotating belts and rollers act to separate the cards and propel them individually to the collection unit. By utilizing separate motors to drive the belts and rollers it is possible to cease the movement of the belts so that the rollers independently act upon the cards. A floating gate slightly forward of the stop arm dictates that a minimum number of cards are managed simultaneously.

Abstract: An electrophotographic printer (1) adjusts high resolution data while preserving the resolution capabilities of the printer. Data in a 600.times.600 bit map is assigned alternately to two rows of a 300.times.1200 bit map. Excellent visual effects are realized.

Abstract: A dual impeller recirculating pump having a plurality of simultaneously activated motors with counterrotating shafts coupled to the motors. An impeller is coupled to each shaft and rotated thereby. The impellers rotate within an impeller housing divided into individual sections, each section opening into a common outlet coupled so that counter rotation of the impellers forces water entering the housing sections out of each section into the common outlet which acts as a mixing chamber merging the fluid flow and thus increasing the flow rate and efficiency of the pump.
