  • Publication number: 20180262504
Abstract: Systems, computer products, and methods are described herein for an improved secure certificate system for identifying potential authorized and unauthorized interactions between a web browser and a website. The certificate system utilizes stored certification requirements (e.g., pinned certification requirements, third-party certification requirement system, or the like), and compares the stored certification requirements with received certification requirements. The system may notify the user or prevent the interaction between the web browser and website when the stored certification requirements do not meet the received certification requirements (e.g., a threshold requirement of certificates to validate, validated certificates, or the like). The certificate system allows the interaction between the web browser and website when the stored certification requirements meet the received certification requirements and the website is verified based on the certification requirements.

  • Publication number: 20180262345
Abstract: Systems, computer products, and methods are described herein for an improved secure certificate system that utilizes multiple digital signatures, and in some cases multiple public keys within one or more certificates. The improved secure certificate systems allows for additional security by having multiple certification authorities validate the organization as the owner of the organization application (e.g., website, dedicated application, or the like), as well as allowing for the use of the multiple digital signatures and/or certificates to provide seamless verification of the organization application should one or more of the digital signatures and/or certificates become compromised. Moreover, security may be improved by utilizing multiple public keys to encrypt a session key for use in sending and receiving data.

  • Patent number: 8254542
Abstract: A phone key registration process between a user and an institution directed to establishing an audible sound or a collection of audible sounds recognizable to a user and stored with the institution. Subsequent to establishing the phone key, when the institution calls the user, the registered phone key may be played back to the user allowing the user to authenticate that the calling party is, indeed, the institution which the user registered the phone key with. Such a process may prevent an unauthorized party without knowledge of the phone key to call a user acting as the institution to illegally obtain private or sensitive information.

  • Publication number: 20100280859
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide apparatuses and methods for a system that captures check data as the check is drafted or thereafter, and before the check is presented to the paying bank. Generally, a customer will use a data capture device to capture future check data from a check as the customer drafts the check. The future check data captured includes information drafted, printed, encoded, etc. on the check. Generally, the data capture device is a device, such as a digital pen, a scanner, a camera device, a device included in a customer's personal display assistant (“PDA”), or other data capture system. After the customer captures the future check data, the data is compared to the customer's account information at a financial institution. Alerts are sent to the customer if the customer is in danger of over drafting the account or if potential fraud is detected.

  • Patent number: 5107782
Abstract: A device for impeding the flow of liquid cargo from a storage compartment of a water-traveling vessel upon damage to a hull of the vessel comprising a barrier member including (a) a sheet of fabric material resistant to the liquid cargo and having a predetermined limited degree of permeability thereto, and (b) reinforcement elements attached to the sheet for strengthening the fabric material and for at least inhibiting a tear from spreading in the sheet more than a predetermined distance from a point of perforation of the sheet. The flow impedance device also comprises support members for supporting the barrier member inside the storage compartment of the water-traveling vessel. The reinforcement elements take the form of a multiplicity of ribs disposed at a plurality of different angles with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 5070801
Abstract: A device for impeding the flow of liquid cargo from a storage compartment of a water-traveling vessel upon damage to a hull of the vessel the device comprises a barrier member including (a) an upper portion of a flexible sheet material resistant to the liquid cargo and substantially impermeable thereto and (b) a lower portion attached to the upper portion and including a web of fabric material resistant to the liquid cargo and having a predetermined limited degree of permeability thereto. The flow impedance device further comprises reinforcement elements attached to the web for strengthening the fabric material and for at least inhibiting a tear from spreading in the web more than a predetermined distance from a point of perforation of the web. The flow impedance device also comprises bendable elongate resilient support members for supporting the barrier member inside the storage compartment of the water-traveling vessel.

  • Patent number: 4982678
Abstract: An assembly for impeding the spillage of petroleum from a damaged oil tanker includes one or more liners made of permeable fabric material provided with reinforcing ribs in the shapes of triangles of two sizes. Triangles of a large size are surrounded by triangles of a small size, such that two small triangles are disposed along each side or edge of a large triangle. The small triangles thus have a side length approximately one half of the side length of the large triangles. The ribs are made of synthetic resin which permeates the fabric material. The liner material is also utilizable, particularly if coated, for a collapsible temporary storage bag which may be inflated in an emergency and pumped full of petroleum from a perforated storage compartment of a damaged tanker.
