Patent number: 8574129Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a frame and a load mechanism disposed on the frame. The load mechanism has a plurality of selectable weights with each of the selectable weights having an associated indicator device. A press is mechanically coupled to the load mechanism to displace a load based on a selected weight and a sensor is disposed to measure an extent and speed of displacement of the load. A processor is in communication with the sensor, and the processor is configured to determine an indicator signal to send to the indicator device of one of the plurality of selectable weights of the load mechanism based on received performance data, the indicator signal used to indicate which one of the plural of weights to select.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2012Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Inventors: Michael G. Patent number: 7568942Abstract: A sleeve is disclosed for engaging an electronic device. The electronic device includes a housing with a plug extending therefrom. The housing has an engaging surface and a housing support surface. The sleeve comprises a plug cap for receiving the plug. A housing cap includes a cavity for receiving the housing. An elastic tether extends between the plug cap and the housing cap for securing the plug cap to the housing cap. The elastic tether is deformable for providing a first length during the plug cap engaging the plug. The elastic tether is deformable for providing a second length during the plug cap displaced above the plug. The elastic tether being is deformable for providing a third length during said plug cap removed from the plug. A coupling is disclosed for joining an electronic device and a computer device. The coupling comprises a housing having a first end, a second end and a body. The body defines a contoured body cross section. A receptacle has an interior end, an exterior end and a wall surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2008Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Inventors: Michael G. Lannon, Mary Obana, Carl R. Patent number: 5275309Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for an improved one-way valve comprising a base for mounting in a chamber with a valve surface engaging with a sealing surface to close an input aperture of the chamber. A flexible web is interposed between the base and the valve surface for resiliently biasing the valve surface into engagement with the sealing surface thereby closing the input aperture. When a fluid pressure from the input aperture exceeds the resilient bias of the flexible web, the valve surface is displaced from the sealing surface for opening the input aperture to permit the flow of the liquid from the input aperture through the chamber into an output aperture. Upon a sufficient fluid pressure within the chamber, the valve surface engages with the sealing surface for closing the input aperture to inhibit the flow of fluid from the chamber into the input aperture.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 1992Date of Patent: January 4, 1994Assignee: Lykes Pasco, Inc.Inventors: Richard D.
