Patent number: 12171598Abstract: The present invention relates to the arrangement of medical equipment during X-ray imaging. In order to provide further holding for medical equipment, a temporarily attachment of medical equipment to a subject support (26) is provided. A panel-like structure (12) is provided to be arranged between the structure of the subject support (32) and a covering mattress (34) or the like on which the subject is then arranged. An attachment interface (14) is provided at the edge of the panel, which interface can be used for a temporarily mount of the equipment. The attachment interface can be formed as a rail-segment. The panel is X-ray transparent to allow X-ray imaging of the subject from an increased range of directions. The attachment interface can be X-ray opaque or also X-ray transparent.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2021Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V.Inventors: Alfons Wouter Groenland, Carl Rowe

Patent number: 9737981Abstract: A universal joint (U-joint) dismantling tool includes an actuator coupled to a yoke. The yoke has two substantially parallel legs, spaced to form a pull channel therebetween. Each yoke leg terminates in a free end defining a foot surface. The actuator is adapted to substantially linearly draw a puller at least partially along a length of the yoke pull channel, thereby increasing a distance between a pull surface and the yoke foot surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2014Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Inventor: Carl Rowe

Patent number: 9612219Abstract: Disclosed are several examples of a system and method for detecting if an article is being tampered with. Included is a covering made of a substrate that is coated with a layer of an electrically conductive material that forms an electrically conductive surface having an electrical resistance. The covering is configured to at least partially encapsulate the article such that the article cannot be tampered with, without modifying the electrical resistance of the electrically conductive surface of the covering. A sensing device is affixed to the electrically conductive surface of the covering and the sensing device monitors the condition of the covering by producing a signal that is indicative of the electrical resistance of the electrically conductive surface of the covering. A measured electrical resistance that differs from a nominal electrical resistance is indicative of a covering that is being tampered with and an alert is communicated to an observer.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2015Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Assignee: UT-Battelle, LLCInventors: Ronald Jason Livesay, Brandon William Mason, Michael Joseph Kuhn, Nathan Carl Rowe
