A secure session is created with a service provider, and the service provider provides a URL to the content, along with digital rights management (“DRM”) licensing information if necessary. The DRM licensing information is stored in a manner that facilitates access by a browser. The browser then accesses the content via the URL, and presents a user interface through which the content can be controlled.
