Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods for determining an affordability index. In an embodiment, a system comprises at least one processor; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the system to perform a set of operations. the set of operations comprises receiving a plurality of financial transactions for an entity during a period of time, wherein each of the plurality of financial transactions comprises one or more descriptions. In addition, the set of operations comprises cleaning the descriptions from the plurality of financial transactions to create one or more corresponding clean descriptions. Further, the set of operations comprises populating a plurality of fields with field entries using the clean descriptions.
