  • Patent number: 11951945
Abstract: A near-field communication (NFC) entry device provides remote keyless entry (RKE) into an enclosure having an RKE control unit, a door, and a door actuator. The NFC entry device includes a housing and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The housing mounts to the enclosure. The PCBA is enclosed within a cavity of the housing, and includes first and second surfaces, an RF antenna and an inductor coil connected to the first surface, and an NFC communication chipset connected to the second surface. The NFC entry device passively harvests energy from a battery powered mobile device via the inductor coil and stores the energy in the capacitor. The passively harvested energy is used to communicate a control signal to the RKE control unit, via the RF antenna, which activates the door actuator. A standby battery may be used when the capacitor is insufficiently charged.

Abstract: A near-field communication (NFC) entry device is provided for remote keyless entry (RKE) into an enclosure having an RKE control unit, a door, and a door actuator. The NFC entry device is characterized by an absence of a cellular battery, and passively harvests energy from a smartphone or other battery powered mobile device via the inductor coil. The passively harvested energy is used to communicate a control signal to the RKE control unit, via the RF antenna, which activates the door actuator.

  • Patent number: 8572526
Abstract: A semiconductor platform for implementing multiple-frequency operations includes multiple physical resources comprising embedded functions and a configurable transistor fabric. The transistor fabric includes at least first and second portions, the first portion being programmable to instantiate a first function having higher frequency operations than the second portion. The platform further includes multiple logical resources corresponding to the physical resources of the semiconductor platform and a configurable power mesh to support multiple frequency operations configurable from the transistor fabric. The power mesh includes at least first and second configurable grids. The first configurable grid is operable at a different frequency than the second configurable grid. The power mesh is modifiable, as a function of a desired performance of a customer's requirements, in a vicinity of the first portion of the configurable transistor fabric to support the first function having higher frequency operations.

  • Publication number: 20130024184
Abstract: The invention provides a data processing system and method for analysing text. The invention uses statistical text classification techniques to assist with the quality assurance of translated texts by using a one pass analysis technique and calculating and ranking probed texts with a dissimilarity score. The use of ranked items to direct, inform, guide and assist human reviewers, auditors, proof-readers, post-editors and evaluators of the accuracy of the translation. The invention provides a significant time saving and accuracy of assessing document's adherence to an enterprises corporate messaging and authoring standards and provides for a level of automated quality assurance within automated translation workflows.

  • Patent number: 8042072
Abstract: The design of integrated circuits, i.e., semiconductor products, is made easier with a semiconductor platform having versatile power mesh that is capable of supporting simultaneous operations having different frequencies on the semiconductor product; e.g., higher frequency operations may be embedded as diffused blocks within the lower layers or may be programmed from a configurable transistor fabric above the diffused layers. Preferably the power mesh is located above the layers having the operations requiring the different frequencies, and may be fixed in an application set given to a chip designer or may be configurable by the designer her/himself. For example, to support high speed communications adjacent an embedded high speed data transceiver, the transistor fabric may be programmed as a data link layer having higher performance requirements than the rest of the integrated circuit.
