Patent number: 11829056Abstract: Embodiments provide grade annunciator systems that allow a lumber workpiece traveling in a workflow path to be labeled with a projected image that conveys information about the grade, a cut line, and/or the location of a defect in the workpiece. In some embodiments, the system includes a conveyor configured to convey lumber workpieces in a workflow path, and a projector or series of projectors configured to project an image or symbol onto a surface of the workpiece, wherein the image or symbol indicates grade, a cut line, and/or the location of a defect in the workpiece. Other embodiments are methods of labeling a lumber workpiece in a workflow path, the methods includes conveying the lumber workpiece along the workflow path, and projecting an image or symbol onto a surface of the workpiece as it is conveyed along the workflow path.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2020Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: USNR, LLCInventors: Christopher W. Blomquist, Carl Flatman, Carl Wahlstrom, Mike O'Heron, Nick Sunder

Patent number: 11319857Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing aftertreatment of exhaust gases resulting from combustion, wherein at least a first substance resulting from said combustion is reduced by supplying additive to an exhaust gas stream resulting from said combustion and use of a first reduction catalytic converter. The method includes: estimating an accumulated expected reduction of said first substance during a first period of time, determining an accumulated actual reduction of said first substance during a period of time at least substantially overlapping said first period of time, and generating a signal indicating a fault in said reduction of said first substance when said accumulated actual reduction differs from said accumulated expected reduction by a predetermined difference in occurrence of said first substance. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2017Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: Scania CV ABInventors: Mikael Lundström, Sebastian Zamani, Carl Wahlström
