    Abstract: A strand adapter for mechanically and electrically coupling aerial closures and cable terminals to a messenger cable is disclosed. The adapter is configured such that a range of messenger cable sizes can be advantageously accommodated. In addition, the adapter includes provisions for diminishing rotation during installation thereby simplifying the procedures for coupling aerial closures and cable terminals to a messenger cable.
