  • Patent number: 10949843
Abstract: Methods and systems for conjugated authentication and authorization are provided, where two entities are associated through the use of respective conjugated credentials. The credentials of the user and a respective vehicle are both generated in a method that cryptographically binds the two entities and their respective pieces of data together so that the binding of the two entities can be easily verified by a third party without the use of external databases.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 22, 2018
Date of Patent: March 16, 2021
Inventors: Hussein Talaat Mouftah, Binod Vaidya, Carlisle Adams

  • Patent number: 9369276
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing private and public encryption keys without the need for a third party certification authority. An initial value is generated by an authentication server. The initial value is divided into at least two portions and each portion is communicated with a user using different communication channels. The user receives the portions and enters a secret string value (i.e. a secret sentence) known only to the user. The portions are concatenated together to recreate the initial value. The portions, the initial value, and the secret string value are then used to create public and private keys for use by the user. Any recipient can authenticate digital signatures without needing the secret string value or the user's device can authenticate a digital signature using the portions and the secret string value.

  • Patent number: 6718470
Abstract: A system and method grants security privilege in a communication system by providing privilege test criteria data for a subscriber unit so that the subscriber unit or some other entity can select among subscriber privilege data based on the privilege test criteria data, so that only the necessary privilege information is communicated between the relying party and the subscriber unit of interest. A privilege data selector selects, for example, among a plurality of attribute certificates associated with a selected subscriber unit or among sets of privilege data within an attribute certificate, the certificate (or certificates) that matches the privileged test criteria data. This pre-selected certificate is then communicated for use by the relying unit and verified that it meets the test selected by the relying party unit.

  • Patent number: 6688712
Abstract: A modular unit forming a part of an air handling system unit being arranged to support a heat exchanger coil therein. The unit contains a three dimensional framework that includes one longitudinally extended beam that is removably connected at each end to opposed corners of spaced end frames. The framework contains spaces between adjacent beams that are closed by removable panels. Removing the beam and the adjacent panels allows ease of access to the coil as well as installation and removal of the coil from the modular unit.

Inventors: John Carlisle Adams, Michael W. Austin
  • Publication number: 20030010391
Abstract: A floor panel for use in an air handling unit that provides a thermal barrier to the passage of heat. The panel is reinforced internally so that it can support a heavy piece of air handling equipment inside the unit such as an air conditioner heat exchanger coil. The panel includes a reservoir for collecting moisture from the coil and rapidly exhausting the moisture from the unit.

  • Patent number: 6363485
Abstract: A multi-factor biometric authenticating device and method generates error correction based partial encryption key seed data based on a plurality of sample biometric inputs, such as raw biometric data The error correction based partial encryption key seed data serves as a partial seed for generating a secret encryption key for encrypting user data. The first partial seed is combined with a second partial encryption seed to generate the secret encryption key. The device stores the error correction based partial encryption key seed data and does not store the secret encryption key.
