  • Publication number: 20070187030
Abstract: The present invention is directed a pneumatic agricultural or industrial tire comprising a casing and a rubber tread disposed radially outwardly of the casing, the tread having an inner tread and a plurality of tread lugs projecting radially from the inner tread, said casing having at least one component, said component comprising textile cord and a rubber composition in contact with the textile cord, the rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of at least one diene based elastomer, including from about 75 to about 15 parts by weight of polybutadiene and about 25 to about 85 parts by weight of at least one additional diene based elastomer selected from the group consisting of styrene-butadiene rubber, synthetic polyisoprene and natural polyisoprene; about 0.

  • Publication number: 20050056356
Abstract: This invention relates to a farm tractor drive tire with a tread having a running surface of significantly spaced apart lugs designed to be soil engaging of a rubber composition comprised of at least one conjugated diene-based elastomer which contains an organosilane polysulfide in situ coupled dispersion of reinforcing filler as a pre-formed starch/plasticizer complexed composite. The running surface of the farm drive tire tread itself is of a configuration comprised of widely spaced apart raised lugs to provide a ratio of net running surface of the tread lugs to the tread's gross dimensions (net to gross ratio expressed in terms of percentage of the running surface of the lugs) in a range of from about 15 percent to 20 percent. Therefore, operationally in the field, normally few lugs actually touch, or engage, the ground at any one time. Accordingly, such individual tread lugs are desirably capable of experiencing locally high loads and should be sufficiently stiff to resist extensive elongations.

  • Patent number: 6408914
Abstract: A tire (10) has three carcass reinforcing structures (15, 16, 17). The second carcass reinforcing structure (16) is folded radially outwardly around each bead core 16 (20), so that the edges (36) of the second carcass reinforcing structure (16) are each located between an apex (31) and the neighboring bead core. The third carcass reinforcing structure (17) has its turndown portions (27) folded radially inwardly around the turnup portion of the second carcass reinforcing structure (16) and the bead core, so that the edges (37) of the plies of the third carcass reinforcing structure are located at the radially inner side of the bead cores (20).
