  • Publication number: 20210388886
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission includes a first main shaft and a second main shaft and at least one auxiliary shaft, rotatable around a rotation axis and interposed between the first and second main shafts. The auxiliary shaft has two secondary roll surfaces. Each secondary roll surface is shaped as a solid of revolution and is placed in contact with a respective primary roll surface of the first and second main shafts. The primary and secondary roll surfaces are shaped so that straight lines tangential thereto in contact points between the auxiliary shaft and the first and second main shafts pass through two distinct intersection points between the axes of the first and second main shafts.

  • Patent number: 6234716
Abstract: An underground structural work, particularly for forming tunnels, underpasses, carparks or the like, includes a pair of containment structures which extend along two opposite sides of the work. These structures include pile elements capable of carrying a deck of the work formed by substantially vaulted deck sections which extend transversely of the containment structure. In at least some of the pile elements there is incorporated a prefabricated supporting element which includes an elongate reinforcement and a concrete body anchored to the reinforcement. Each deck section includes prefabricated elements of concrete defining a pair of side portions and a central portion which can be interposed between them. Between the lateral portions and the concrete bodies are formed free spaced to allow casting in situ of concrete for mutual anchoring.

  • Patent number: 6129484
Abstract: A prefabricated structure for the construction of open air structures, particularly motorway flyovers, underpasses, bridges, tunnels, underground carparks and the like, includes a plurality of prefabricated elements of reinforced concrete. These elements are able to define the side walls and the deck of the work with adjacent longitudinal sections of the structure which rest on a foundation at the base of the work. Each section of the structure includes a pair of side elements which rest on the foundation via a static hinge and are intended to be disposed symmetrically with respect to the axle of the structure so as to assume a substantially L-shaped configuration. A substantially rectilinear prefabricated element is interposed centrally between two side elements and is anchored thereto so as to define a central portion of the deck of the work.

  • Patent number: 4693634
Abstract: A prefabricated support and covering structure for making artificial tunnels, small bridges, and the like, is comprised of a plurality of modular bodies each of which consists of a plurality of prefabricated reinforced concrete panels interconnected by reinforcing rods so that upon lifting of the center portion of each modular body the prefabricated panels will fold about hinges defined by the reinforcing rods. The reinforcing rods are disposed at angles relative to each other and intersect along a line parallel to the axis of the structure, which line defines the hinge axis. Each prefabricated panel of reinforced concrete has abutting edges and the gap between the confronting faces of the panels is filled with binding material. The modular bodies are each provided with lateral flanges to define a space between the lateral spaces of adjacent bodies which is also filled with a binding material to unite the modular bodies to each other.

  • Patent number: 4659261
Abstract: A retaining wall for earth and similar material has its front face formed by a series of prefabricated reinforced-concrete panels. In use, the prefabricated panels are arranged vertically in side-by-side relation and rest on a concrete footing cast in situ. The prefabricated panels are rigidly connected to a concrete anchor bed cast during the course of construction and which extends away from the prefabricated panels towards the earth to be retained. The said concrete anchoring bed is disposed at a level higher than the base of said panels and is spaced from the latter by a distance of between 1/5 and 1/2 of the total height of the said panels.
