  • Patent number: 7178451
Abstract: A piston designed for use in metering machines employed in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The piston preferably has a cylindrical body with an annular bead in an intermediate position, a cap made of material designed to form a seal against the cylinder wall, which cap is fitted onto the body, and an annular support with an expansion spring, housed in a groove in the inner wall of the cap, the cap having an annular bead on the free edge; a clamping ring with a groove designed to fit onto the annular bead of the cap and onto the annular bead on the piston body is provided to keep the elements joined together, and the ring also acts as a guide for the piston against the cylinder wall.

  • Patent number: 4323179
Abstract: A metering device for liquids, particularly liquors and alcoholic drinks, is shaped for application to a bottle or other liquid container for pouring metered amounts of the contents thereof into a glass. The device comprises a cylindrical metering chamber having openings on opposite bases and valve members for alternately opening these openings. The valve members are actuated in unison by gravity-operated members arranged on one end of a control lever having the other end journalled to the valve members. When the bottle is progressively tilted to pour its contents into a glass the metering chamber is filled as soon as the bottle is inclined past the horizontal, and then the gravity-operated members suddenly cause closing of the communication between the metering chamber and the bottle and opening of the metering chamber to the outside, thus causing pouring of the metered amount into the glass.

  • Patent number: 4178975
Abstract: A dispensing device for toothpaste or other paste-like material, comprising an elastically deformable duct arranged within a housing and connected at one end to a container of the material to be dispensed and at the other end to a delivery mouth. Parallel to the duct there is movable a carriage having a member capable of engaging the duct to squeeze it in a given direction, thus causing dispensing of a controlled amount of the material contained in the duct, while simultaneously sucking up therein a substantially equal amount of material. The carriage is operable by a toothbrush or other receiving member which is insertable into the housing below the delivery mouth. The material is dispensed directly on the bristles of the toothbrush or other receiving member while the same travels below the delivery mouth during return of the carriage and toothbrush under the action of a return spring.
