  • Publication number: 20180237247
Abstract: A roll of absorbent socks is provided with a liquid permeable sleeve that houses an absorbent layer with a superabsorbent polymer. Perforated regions are provided spaced apart along the length of the sleeve with a plurality of perforations through the sleeve and the absorbent layer. The perforations define the end of a first sock and the adjacent end of a second sock. Mechanical closure members are provided on opposed sides of and adjacent to each perforated region. When a sock is separated from the role, it has first and second longitudinally spaced apart ends that are closed by the mechanical closure members to prevent superabsorbent polymer from flowing out the ends of the sock.

  • Publication number: 20140150196
Abstract: An absorbent berm mop assembly to contain a liquid spill is provided. The absorbent berm comprises an absorbent material packed within a tube sock of variable length and diameter comprising a berm. Prior to closing of the ends of the berm, a rigid plate is inserted atop the absorbent. The rigid berm is fixed to a handle bracket. Operation of the handle effects a flattening of the berm via force applied to the handle being distributed along the length of the rigid plate. The berm is used to contain spills on a floor by presenting a planar absorbent surface to absorb liquid that can be moved in a mopping motion. The saturated berm assembly can be disposed of for appropriate disposal after detaching from the handle. The advantage to this design is the ability to maximize the active absorbance capacity of a given volume of absorbent material by flattening the berm surface to the floor plane, as well as by mopping motion, while allowing for easy disposal of all but the handle.

  • Patent number: 8282199
Abstract: The present invention relates to a refillable, recyclable ink cartridge having a rigid outer casing. The outer casing has a side wall section and first and second end caps. At least one ink compartment is defined between the side wall section and one or more interior walls. A plunger located in an end of each ink compartment remote from the ink outlet. The plunger is pushed through the ink towards the ink outlet by air pressure or other suitable biasing means.

  • Publication number: 20120245257
Abstract: This invention provides a pellet derived from recycled waste products in particular from a mixture of two or more of cellulose fibers, recyclable plastic, glass and ceramics and other recyclable products such as tetra paks. The pellets can be used to make a variety of extruded or injection molded products including household trim and moldings, decking, shutters, etc.

  • Publication number: 20120104009
Abstract: This invention provides packaging material made from starch and cellulose fiber obtained from recycled paper waste. The process involves drawing a suspension of pulp and starch in water into a mold, and withdrawing water from the suspension while in the mold. Bubble-shaped wrap and bracing made according to the invention are designed for use as cushioning for the shipment of fragile or irregularly shaped items. The packaging is biodegradable when exposed to water in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20120097067
Abstract: This invention provides both void-filling pellets and packaging board that are environmentally compatible and biodegradable. They are made from starch and cellulose fiber, potentially from recycled paper Extruded Pulp Fiber shell waste The void-filling pellets have a hard outer shell and a foamed interior. This makes them resilient to crushing, while at the same time reversibly compressible, providing protection for the item inside the packaging. The reinforced packaging board also has a hard outer shell and a foamed interior, and is reinforced by way of a multi-laminate or corrugated structure. Both the pellets and the board are made by an extrusion process that creates the outer layer and fills the interior with foam.

  • Publication number: 20090304999
Abstract: The present invention relates to a corrugated product comprising a corrugated substrate, having a top surface and a bottom surface, laminated with a sheet material on its top and/or bottom surface. The substrate is selected from the group consisting of low-density polyethylene foam, high-density polyethylene film, low-density polyethylene film, polypropylene, Nylon 6,6, Nylon 6, paper, craft paper or Cotton Paper. The sheet material is selected from the group consisting of paper, polyethylene film, foil, low density polyethylene foam, high density polyethylene film, low density polyethylene film, polypropylene, Nylon 6,6, Nylon 6, paper, craft paper, Cotton Paper. The sheet material can have a pressure sensitive adhesive and backing paper applied to the side of the sheet not attached to the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6030669
Abstract: The present invention relates to decorative bows formed from a folded pattern of a laminated substrate. The substrate comprises one or more layers of printed material laminated between two layers of laminate film so that the print is visible on both sides of the substrate. In order to match the bow to gift wrap the substrate can be formed from gift wrap paper with a protective film laminated to the printed side of the paper. As gift wrap is normally only printed on one side, two sheets of gift wrap are laminated with their unprinted sides together resulting in a substrate having printed material on both sides with a protective film on each side. The gift wrap can be substituted with cardboard, fabric, vinyl, plastic or other film. By laminating the material the resulting bows are waterproof, durable, reusable.
