  • Patent number: 8510955
Abstract: A process of producing an inner joint part for a constant velocity plunging joint is disclosed. The process includes providing a preformed blank, hardening the preformed blank, hard-machining first track portions, while second track portions remain unmachined. The preformed blank includes a longitudinal axis, an outer face with circumferentially distributed tracks, a central through-aperture, a first end face and a second end face opposed thereto. The tracks each comprise a first track portion having, in a cross-sectional view, a smaller track radius and a second track portion having, in a cross-sectional view, a greater cross-section.

  • Publication number: 20100064498
Abstract: An inner joint part for a constant velocity universal joint, more particularly a constant velocity plunging joint. The inner joint part (2) includes an outer spherical guiding face (3) for guiding a ball cage (24) of the constant velocity universal joint; a plurality of circumferentially distributed ball tracks (4) formed into the spherical guiding face (3) and provided for receiving torque transmitting balls (25); wherein the ball tracks (4) each comprise a hard-machined first track portion (11) for guiding the balls (25) as well as an unmachined second track portion (12) which does not have a guiding function for the balls. A process of producing an inner joint part as well as a constant velocity universal joint with an inner joint part are also provided.

  • Patent number: 4381759
Abstract: A fireplace heat exchanger apparatus and method utilizes a tubular grate for holding fuel to be burned having a bottom portion for collecting a liquid such that the liquid will be vaporized by the heat from the fuel burned in the grate and carried into a space to be heated by air forced through the tubular grate to substantially increase the amount of heat obtained from burning of fuel.

  • Patent number: 4172251
Abstract: A self-encoding key switch is formed of a body having a well for storing a pool of mercury, a plurality of contact chambers with encoding contacts therein and having channel portions communicating with the well of a size to resist flow of the mercury therethrough due to surface tension of the mercury, and a plunger movable into the well to force the mercury through the channel portions into the contact chambers to momentarily connect the encoding contacts thereby providing tactile feedback, self-encoding and N-key rollover. A keyboard system utilizes a plurality of the above-described self-encoding key switches along with a register, and a strobe contact is disposed in a contact chamber of each key switch such that the trailing edge of the signal from the strobe contact precedes the breaking of electrical connection between a supply contact in the body and the encoding contacts to trigger the register and enter coded data from the encoding contacts.

  • Patent number: 4167789
Abstract: An asynchronous logic circuit is provided having three stable states, namely two information states and a neutral state. Information is transferred between cascaded such circuits wholly under the control of such circuits and at a rate determined by the delay times through various gates. Feedback is employed between each circuit so that for any two given circuits the transfer logic is IN.fwdarw.NI, I representing an information state and N representing the neutral state. Reversible cascaded chains are discussed as well as parallel feed-in and feed-out of information, and fan-in, fan-out and recirculating loops of information. The cascaded circuits (nets) employ interface circuits comprising in most instances a specified part of the basic net circuit.
