  • Patent number: 11704020
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for precisely tracking memory usage in a multi-process computing environment. One of the methods includes implementing an instance of a memory usage tracker (MUT) in each process running in a node of a computer system. A MUT can maintain an account of memory usage for each of multiple logical owners running on a process on which the MUT is running. The MUT can determine an actual memory quota for each owner, and enforce the actual memory quota of the owner. Enforcing the actual memory quota of the owner can include receiving each memory allocation request, checking each allocation request and a current state of the account against the actual quota, approving or rejecting each allocation request, communicating the approval or rejection to an underlying memory manager, and updating the owner account for each approved allocation request.

  • Publication number: 20230205709
Abstract: An apparatus has memory management circuitry to control access to a memory system based on access control information defined in table entries of a table structure comprising at least two levels of access control table. Table accessing circuitry accesses the table structure to obtain the access control information corresponding to a target address. For a given access control table at a given level of the table structure other than a starting level, the table accessing circuitry selects a selected table entry of the given access control table corresponding to the target address, based on an offset portion of the target address. A size of the offset portion is selected based on a variable nesting control parameter specified in a table entry of a higher-level access control table at a higher level of the table structure than the given access control table.

  • Publication number: 20230208793
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to internet social media, and more specifically to techniques for determining location-related information about internet social media content. In some embodiments, a system accesses data representing a first social media post, the data including geographic location data identifying a first geographic location. The system identifies a second social media post related to the first post. The system accesses data representing the second social media post, wherein the data representing the second post does not include geographic location data identifying the first geographic location. The system analyzes the data representing the second social media post and determines a location score based at least in part on the analysis of the data representing the second social media post. If the location score exceeds a threshold location score, the system associates the second social media post with the first geographic location.

  • Patent number: 11519856
Abstract: A method for optically detecting biomarkers in a biosensor is disclosed, wherein the optical detection obtains spatially and spectrally resolved optical signals from a sample on a biosensor, and one or more of these spatially and spectrally resolved optical signals can be analyzed in parallel with image acquisition. The image analysis comprises reading data of the acquired images, correcting them to reduce inhomogeneities and noise, localizing particles in the images, characterizing each particle individually to obtain its position and characterization parameters, and classifying the particles based on their characterization parameters. Using the number of particles per class for all the acquired images of the sample, a statistical value is calculated per sample and each statistical value is correlated with an indication of the presence of a biomarker in the sample.
