  • Patent number: 11256972
Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating tags with items. The methods comprise: dynamically determining a length of each metal thread to be incorporated into or trace to be disposed on a item to optimize tag performance in view of dielectric and tuning properties of the item. In the metal thread scenarios, the methods also involve: creating a metal thread having the length that was dynamically determined; and sewing the metal thread into the item being produced to form an antenna for a first tag. In the trace scenarios, the methods also involve forming the trace on the item being produced to form an antenna for a first tag. Next, at least a communications enabled device is attached to the item so as to form an electrical coupling or connection between the communications enabled device and the at least one antenna.

Abstract: This invention provides an automotive lighting device (1) comprising a plurality of solid-state light sources (2) and a light guide (4). The solid-state light sources (2) are configured to emit light according to a light direction (d), each one having a light source centre (20) and each one defining a light source plane (21), which is a plane perpendicular to the light direction (d) which contains the corresponding light source centre (20). The light guide (4) has a reception inlet (40) which projects an optical profile (41) on the closest light source plane (21) according to the light direction (d), the optical profile (41) having an optical centre (42). The light sources (2) are arranged to project light beams to the reception inlet (40) of the light guide (4) in such a way that at least 70% of the light source centres (20) are closer to the optical profile (41) than to the optical centre (42).

  • Publication number: 20210352559
Abstract: A method and system for Air-To-Ground communications allowing integration of the aircraft communication with a terrestrial cellular communications network. The solution is carried out in the aircraft so any existing standard terrestrial cellular communication network may be used without requiring any modification. The constraints due to the special aircraft conditions (speed and height) are efficiently solved, allowing broad interoperability with the cellular communications network, satisfying the increasing high speed data demand. Specifically, in order to solve the handover constraints the aircraft antenna will create at least two radiation patterns: one for maintaining the current connection with the serving base station and another one or more to search the next suitable best station for handover.
