Abstract: An improvement in the design of a shoe wherein a flexible material is placed inside the shoe sole at the level over the insole and below the toes of the foot and either above or also in line with the midsole, so that the wearer's toes rest along the flexible material when the wearer's foot is inserted into the shoe. The flexible material also extends to the area at the base of the big toe and behind the ball of the foot behind the big toe under the 1st metatarso-phalange joint base of the big toe. In a variation of the present invention, the flexible material only extends under the toes and does not extend behind the big toe. Therefore, in addition to all five toes resting on the flexible material, the ball of the foot area at the base of the big toe also rests on the flexible material. By filling the frontal section of the shoe sole with the flexible material, the flexible material permits the toes to curl downward when walking.

Abstract: The present invention is a liquid protectant which protects and extends the life of anti-reflective, hydrophobic (water repellent) and mirror coatings and all types of plastic lenses from scratches, abrasions and “wear-off” of the coatings by upgrading the performance of cleaning liquids and provides the highest level of protection against abrasion as well as optical clarity, ease of cleaning and anti-static properties. The present invention apparatus and method of producing the same is used to both clean and coat all types of optical lenses which includes a coating in the nature of an optical lens coating which bonds to the exterior surface of an anti-reflective coated optical lens to create a barrier between the anti-reflective coating and the cleaning surfaces.

Abstract: A double piston spring hinge which is used for connecting temples to an eyeglass frame. The double piston spring hinge has a front structure, a rear structure, two piston cylinders symmetrically and parallel mounted between the front and rear structures, a flap lever, and a bracket for stabilizing the front and rear structures. The two temples are hinged to opposite sides of the front of the frame by the double piston spring hinges so as to permit the two temples to fold on the frame. Each piston cylinder contains therein a spring. A piston goes in and out of the cylinder and is biased by the spring. The piston is held within the cylinder at one end and in linking members at the other end. The double piston spring hinges are a flexibility system which is a bracket that is a spring actuated piston piece which lends flexibility to the temple.
