  • Publication number: 20200074367
Abstract: A computing system such as a back-end platform for construction management software may employ a predictive model to provide individuals responsible for overseeing a construction project with a prediction of a “risk level” for a punch item, which indicates a risk of the punch item not being completed by the punch item's target completion date. Such a predictive model may be defined based on historical-punch-items data. After defining the predictive model, the computing system may receive data defining a given punch item and input such data into the predictive model, which may in turn output a given predicted risk level for the given punch item. Thereafter, the computing system may cause a client station to display an indication of the given predicted risk level for the given punch item.

  • Patent number: 10578763
Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing physical properties of a geological formation are disclosed. The systems and methods may use electrodes that include two conductive portions separated by an isolation gap positioned along a casing in a wellbore in the formation. The electrodes may be sequentially energized to provide excitation stimulus into the formation while the remaining, non-energized electrodes may substantially simultaneously receive excitation responses to the excitation stimulus from the formation. The excitation responses may be assessed to determine one or more physical properties of fractures in the formation.

  • Patent number: 10386529
Abstract: A method for determining a level of organic maturity of a shale gas formation includes inverting multifrequency complex conductivity data to estimate a volume fraction of graphite, turbostatic carbon nanostructures, and pyrite. The inversion is validated using estimates of the volume fraction of graphite, turbostatic carbon nanostructures, and pyrite. The volume fraction of graphite and turbostatic carbon nanostructures is correlated to a level of organic maturity log of the shale gas formation. The level of organic maturity log is validated using sulfur content obtained from pyrolysis or vitrinite reflectance. A variation of an electromagnetic response due to the volume fraction of graphite, turbostatic carbon nanostructures, and pyrite is quantified. The electromagnetic response is modified by removing the quantified variation to obtain resistivity and permittivity values.

  • Patent number: 10004253
Abstract: This invention is related to a method for improving the health condition of crustaceans grown in captivity and consequently the survival rate, as well as their color, by the incorporation of a carotenoids concentrate obtained from a natural source to the feed of crustacean species, in order to improve the health condition of such aquatic animals. The improved health condition results in a noticeable gain in biomass and in a more attractive color.

  • Publication number: 20180128102
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide highly accurate and controllable measurements of rock formation properties in a wellbore. The systems and methods utilize a prescribed input signal to mechanically perturb a drill string in contact with a rock formation in order to elicit a mechanical response. Based on the input signal and the mechanical response, a transfer function is computed and analyzed, wherein the analysis uses estimates of the drill string resonances to identify rock formation resonances, which are used, in turn, to determine the rock formation properties.

  • Patent number: 9211939
Abstract: An elongate anchor arm is rotatably secured to the side of a boat so that the arm may be rotated down from the floating boat and locked into engagement with the water bottom. An anchoring and/or orienting effect is achieved by rotating and locking the arm such that a portion of the side of the arm is forced into and held against the water bottom. For anchoring in water deeper than the length of the anchor arm, one end of a flexible anchor line is secured to a conventional line-deployed anchor and the other line end is attached to the far end of the anchor arm. The arm is rotated to achieve the anchoring and/or orienting effect of attaching the anchor line at different points on the boat.
