  • Publication number: 20220035082
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method of manufacturing a mirror. The objective of the present invention is to propose very thin, mechanically and thermally stable minors with excellent surface properties as well as a manufacturing process for such minors. The method of manufacturing a minor in accordance with the invention comprises the steps of: (a) Providing a mandrel having the negative shape of the minor; (b) Applying a reflecting layer of reflective material on the mandrel surface; (c) Applying a bonding layer of bonding material on the reflective material; (d) Applying a structural layer of structural material on the bonding layer; and (e) Releasing the mirror from the mandrel. In particular, the reflecting material may be Gold, Iridium, Rhodium or Nickel, the bonding material may be Nickel, Nickel Cobalt or Nickel alloys, and the structural material may be Titanium or Titanium alloys.

  • Publication number: 20160105758
Abstract: Method for replicating directional sound detecting a plurality of sound signals emitted by a sound source in a recording space and recording the plurality of detected sound signals emitted by the sound source. The method also configured for determining, in a time variable manner, a main direction of emission of the plurality of sound signals, and reproducing the plurality of sound signals based on the main direction of emission using a first reproduction unit associated with the sound source and at least one second reproduction unit spaced apart from the first reproduction unit. The main direction of emission is simulated in during the reproduction with the at least one second reproduction unit using time delays relative to the first reproduction unit.

  • Publication number: 20140188399
Abstract: An electronic alcohol intoxication detection, identification and subscriber notification system may include a device that may include an enclosure having an interior housing and an exterior. The enclosure houses components indentifying intoxication level data. A remote database may wirelessly connect to the intoxication level data. A virtual server may than transmit the intoxication level data in the form of notifications to at least one contact point of a subject.

  • Patent number: 8310519
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for carrying out a video conference between a location A and at least one location W, during which it is possible for at least some participants to make eye-to-eye contact or face-to-face contact. To achieve this, location A is equipped with at least two image generation elements for generating images of the participants in location A, said elements being assigned to different participant positions in location W and is also equipped with at least one optical representation of each participant position in location W.

  • Publication number: 20080292112
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for recording sound signals of one or more sound sources located in a recording space and having time-variable directional characteristics and for reproducing the sound signals and directional information of the sound sources true to life in an area of reproduction. The invention also relates to a system for carrying out the method. In order to be able to record, transmit and reproduce the directional information of a sound source in real time, only the main direction of emission of the sound signal emitted by the sound source is detected in the recording space in a time-dependent manner and reproduction is carried out depending on the detected main direction of emission. In order to convey the directional information, the sound signals are reproduced by means of a first reproduction unit associated with the sound source and at least one second reproduction unit spaced apart from the first reproduction unit.

  • Patent number: 7322708
Abstract: The invention relates to a mirror (1), for use in optical imaging systems, whereby the mirror is connected at the edge thereof to a reinforcing element (3), at least partly surrounding the mirror and the reinforcing element also fixes the relative position of the mirror with regard to a further optical element (4). Positioning means (5) are arranged on the reinforcing element, cooperating with positioning means (7), arranged on further optical elements. The optical imaging system in particular concerns a telescope for optical transmission techniques.
