Patent number: 12093410Abstract: Methods and systems can protect information shown on a screen of a device. A user associated with the device can be authenticated, e.g., using photo identification of the user. In response to authenticating the user, data can be displayed on the device. A camera associated with the device can be automatically activated to take one or more images in response to a triggering event, a predetermined time interval, or randomly generated time intervals. An enhanced privacy environment is detected by analyzing the one or more images to identify that there are more than a threshold number of faces or people in the picture, or by identifying that the user is not in the picture based on a comparison of the picture to the photo identification of the user. In response to detecting the enhanced privacy environment, a privacy mode is enabled. The privacy mode can include various security measures such as concealing sensitive content or providing various security notifications.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2021Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Carlos Chavez, Michael J. Patent number: 11837214Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure evaluate transcription accuracy. In some implementations, the system normalizes a first transcription of an audio file and a baseline transcription of the audio file. The baseline transcription can be used as an accurate transcription of the audio file. The system can further determine an error rate of the first transcription by aligning each portion of the first transcription with the portion of the baseline transcription, and assigning a label to each portion based on a comparison of the portion of the first transcription with the portion of the baseline transcription.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2020Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Michael J. Szentes, Carlos Chavez, Robert E. Lewis, Nicholas S. Walker

Patent number: 11817743Abstract: An electric machine including a stator and a frame, the stator is supported with support necks on the frame in at least two axially spaced support locations. The support locations include a first group of support necks and a second group of support necks. The support necks in the first group are positioned in connection with a vertical centre plane. The second group includes two side support necks positioned opposite to each other at an angular distance above or below a horizontal centre plane. The angular distance is defined by a first angle which is determined in degrees by the formula ?1=(90/P)±(?)*(90/P), where P is the number of poles of the electric machine and P>2.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: ABB SCHWEIZ AGInventors: Timo Holopainen, Juha Pekka Jokinen, Carlos Chavez

Patent number: 11652393Abstract: A rotor assembly for an electric motor for a turbomachine defines an axis of rotation. The rotor assembly includes a jacket member that is hollow and that defines an inner radial surface facing inwardly toward the axis of rotation. Furthermore, the rotor assembly includes a magnet member that is received within the jacket member. The magnet member includes an outer radial surface facing outwardly from the axis of rotation. The jacket member is made of a sintered composite material having carbon filament and a sintered matrix. Additionally, the inner radial surface of the jacket member abuts against the outer radial surface of the magnet member to retain the magnet member in a radial position relative to the axis.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2020Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: GARRETT TRANSPORTATION I INCInventors: Jeffrey Lotterman, Todd Ratke, Sushank Singampalli, Antoine Costeux, Carlos Chavez Castellanos

Publication number: 20210379335Abstract: Steerable delivery devices use one or more pull wires. Described herein are devices and methods for securing a pull wire to an adjustment mechanism of such delivery devices. The disclosed devices facilitate securing the pull wire by using a wrapping set screw that forms a lumen for the pull wire and one or more notches in the side of the wrapping set screw at its proximal end. The notches allow the pull wire to be pulled through a notch so that when the wrapping set screw is driven into a threaded lumen the pull wire lies along the roots of the screw. The pull wire is secured in place due at least in part to friction and/or to being pressed between the screw and the threaded lumen of a wrap housing where the wrap housing can be part of the adjustment mechanism of the delivery device.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2021Publication date: December 9, 2021Inventors: Carlos Chavez Vargas, Luis Molina
