  • Patent number: 11912405
Abstract: Vertical short takeoff and landing (VSTOL) aircraft include primary airfoils extending outwardly from a forward region of the aircraft fuselage, and secondary empennage airfoils extending outwardly from an aft region of the aircraft fuselage so as to be separated from the forward primary airfoils and thereby define a space therebetween which accommodates non-cyclic controllable propellers operably driven by a respective engine of a propulsion unit. The propulsion units are mounted for pivotal movement within the defined space between the primary airfoil and the secondary empennage airfoils so as to achieve a first operational position wherein the thrust line of the propellers is orientated substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage and a second operational position wherein the thrust line of the propellers is oriented substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. The propulsion units may be mounted aft of the aircraft center of gravity (CG).

  • Patent number: 11690321
Abstract: A system for supplying electric power to components of an agricultural harvester may include a power storage device and a first agricultural harvester component. The system may also include a first bus electrically coupled to the power storage device and configured to supply electric power at a first voltage to the first agricultural harvester component. Furthermore, the system may include a second agricultural harvester component and a second bus configured to supply the electric power at a second voltage to second agricultural harvester component, the second voltage being less than the first voltage. Additionally, the system may include a converter electrically coupled between the first and the second bus, with the converter configured to reduce the first voltage supplied through the first bus to allow electric power to be supplied to the second agricultural harvester component at the second voltage via the second bus.

  • Publication number: 20220217906
Abstract: A system for removing debris from an agricultural harvester includes a flow splitter supported relative to an outlet of a chopper assembly of the harvester such that the flow splitter at least partially extends within a stream of processed crop material discharged from the chopper assembly. The flow splitter is configured to divide the stream of processed crop material into separate crop material flows for receipt within an extraction chamber of the agricultural harvester.

  • Patent number: 9787948
Abstract: To create an environment in which the passenger has the same emotion, feel and visual experience that a pilot has with regard to freedom of flight and proximity to the exterior of the aircraft and where passengers have the impression that they are looking out of an actual panoramic window, a “virtual window” includes internal and the external aspects of a real window. The internal part can comprise a folded or flexible high resolution color display that conforms to the internal profile of the aircraft fuselage as if it were an actual window. The external part comprises a paint scheme that is indistinguishable from an actual window and which is placed on the outside of the aircraft fuselage in registry with the conformal display in the aircraft's interior.

  • Patent number: 8167243
Abstract: Systems and methods achieve an optical effect of cabin enlargement of a passenger vehicle. The optical effect creates a visual impression of a higher cabin when viewed from the forward part of the cabin space looking aft, and a wider cabin space when viewed from the aft part of the cabin space looking forward. In preferred forms, a series of alternating interdigitated trapezoidal starboard and port headliner modules are disposed adjacent to the cabin headliner. The headliner modules are also preferably arcuately curved about a central elongate axis of the passenger cabin.
