    Abstract: 1,4 dihydropyridines of general formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 is a linear or branched C1-C4 alkyl group;R.sub.2 is formyl or a C1-C2 alkyl group;R.sub.3 is a 2-, 3-, 4-picolyl, 2-thienylmethyl, or 4-fluorobenzyl group.These compositions have properties which are effective in the treatment of ypertension, cardiac ischemia, angina pectoris or other cardiac problems and may be incorporated in pharmaceutically acceptable vehicles.
