    Abstract: The invention relates to systems, methods and computer readable medium to construct map(s) of an aerodrome mapping database (AMDB). A method digitizes imagery for constructing AMDB, including entering data of the imagery into computer memory, displaying the imagery on a computer, displaying user selectable predefined target feature types that correspond to features of the imagery on the computer screen, displaying user selectable attributes of each of the predefined target feature types, automatically populating each predefined target feature type with subfeatures, associating attributes with each predefined target feature type and subfeature, snapping each predefined target feature type to coincide with the center of a pixel to provide predictability of horizontal accuracy, displaying a Bézier curve template to align a curved part of a predefined target feature type to a curved part of the imagery producing a digitized map and storing the digitized map in an AMDB.

In another aspect, a 3D user interface (UI) data model comprising model definitions is derived from the 3D models. The 3D model is updated with video data. In another aspect, user controls are provided to navigate a point of view through the 3D model to determine which portions of the 3D model are displayed.

    Abstract: The present invention is a latching electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit that enables and latches an ESD clamping circuit upon an ESD event, and disables and un-latches the ESD clamping circuit upon either a drop in the DC supply voltage below a defined threshold or a time-out. The time-out protects against effects of inadvertent latching or any anomaly in which the latching ESD clamping circuit does not un-latch. An ESD event is a voltage spike between the DC supply voltage and ground wherein the ESD clamping circuit applies a low impedance between the DC supply voltage and ground to dissipate the energy contained in the voltage spike, thereby protecting adjacent circuitry.

    Abstract: A power amplifier configuration including power amplifier circuitry and power control circuitry and having improved Power Added Efficiency (PAE) is provided. The power amplifier circuitry includes one or more input amplifier stages in series with a final amplifier stage. The power control circuitry provides a variable supply voltage to the input amplifier stages based on an adjustable power control signal. The final amplifier stage is powered by a fixed supply voltage. In operation, as output power of the power amplifier is reduced from its highest power level, the variable supply voltage is reduced. Accordingly, RF power of an amplified signal provided to the final amplifier stage from the input amplifier stages decreases, and the final amplifier stage transitions from saturation to linear operation, thereby increasing the gain of the final amplifier stage. Thus, a desired output level can be maintained while operating at lower current levels.

    Abstract: The present invention provides temperature compensation for a power amplifier by varying a supply voltage applied to the power amplifier. The supply voltage is varied based on operating temperature in light of the temperature characteristics of the power amplifier. Thus, the variation in the supply voltage offsets variations in the characteristics of the power amplifier due to changes in temperature. Whether the power amplifier is used to control the output power of a transmitter or as part of a polar modulation system, temperature compensation of the power amplifier allows the power amplifier to provide an accurate and repeatable output signal having essentially no fluctuations due to changes in temperature.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for interactively building flight paths for entry into an aircraft flight management system (FMS). The apparatus comprises a database containing map information, a display for presenting the map information, a user controlled cursor and selection buttons, all under the control of a graphics processor. The processor presents the map information with included navigation features on the display, correlated with the aircraft position and cursor location. When the cursor overlies a navigational feature (airways, waypoints, etc.), the processor highlights the feature. Feature ID information may also pop up when the feature is highlighted. Using a mouse button or equivalent, the user selects the highlighted feature or ID, whereupon the processor sends the information associated therewith to the FMS. By successively highlighting and selecting features or IDs an entire flight path can be identified and entered automatically into the FMS without the need for individual text entry.

    Abstract: An improved photo identification collection assembly includes a base portion, having a stage, and a support member structured to engage the base portion. A plurality of image collectors, each having a corresponding lens, engage the support member. Each image collector is disposed to focus on an object positioned inside of either a primary stage area, a secondary stage area, or outside of either the primary or secondary stage areas. In addition, the assembly incorporates an image actuator which is structured to generate an actuator signal and communicate the signal to each image collector. Additionally, the actuator signal is designed to cause the plurality of image collectors to simultaneously collect data. Also, the assembly includes a data storage unit which receives and stores the data from the image collectors, and is further structured to permit access and retrieval of the collected data.
