  • Patent number: 11263278
Abstract: Content of the material the user is consuming is identified. Physiological pattern generated by the user while consuming the content is captured via at a sensor device. Responsive to detecting that the physiological pattern represents an outlier, a term in the content is determined for which additional information is to be provided. The term may be determined from the content based on user knowledge, frequency of the term appearing in previous content consumed by the user and popularity of the term. A search query is executed with the determined term. Result of the search query may be filtered based on the user's knowledge. The filtered result and at least one of the previous content containing the term the user has previously consumed is presented.

  • Publication number: 20210233319
Abstract: A method for tag-based search includes capturing an image, extracting a tag from the image, identifying a location associated with the captured image, and querying stored content for information that matches the location and the tag. Local storage is checked for the information first, and remote storage may be checked subsequently. Any located information may be used to augment the image. Information located in the remote storage may be saved in the local storage until it reaches a certain age, until it fails to be accessed for a threshold period of time, or until the location moves outside a threshold radius associated with a location of the information located in the remote storage.

  • Patent number: 10937331
Abstract: An online learning system selects content for a learning session and opens a user interface to start the learning session on a plurality of devices. A mode of instruction is selected for the learning session. An activity to perform associated with the content is presented. Performance of the activity is monitored and a performance metric and/or a heterogeneity metric associated with a key performance indicator for the activity performed is generated. Responsive to determining that the performance metric and/or a heterogeneity metric is outside of the target range, the mode of instruction may be switched automatically.

  • Patent number: 10832238
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for a transaction system supporting universal ticket solutions for transportation. A fund managing device determines whether a first fund of an account of a user has sufficient credit to satisfy a transportation fee imposed by a first city. The account of the user includes separate funds for different cities, where the funds include credit in different national currencies. An account managing device determines whether other funds of the account of the user have additional credit to satisfy the transportation fee imposed by the first city when the first fund of the account of the user does not have sufficient funds to satisfy the transportation fee imposed by the first city. A financial managing device determines costs for transferring credit to the first fund from the other funds of the account of the user.

  • Patent number: 10168815
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evaluating the quality of automatically composed digital content based on intentional user feedback obtained through a haptic interface. For example, a method includes accessing intentional user feedback collected by a haptic interface executing on a computing device, wherein the intentional user feedback provides an indication as to a user's reaction toward digital content that the user interacts with on the computing device. The digital content includes content that is automatically generated using content generation rules. The method further includes evaluating a quality of the digital content based on the intentional user feedback, and generating an evaluation report that includes information providing an evaluation of the quality of the digital content.

  • Publication number: 20180225613
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method for data-driven urban interventions based on crowdsourcing. Images of buildings and a request for feedback to the images are sent to individuals with a communications device. Citizen feedback is received from the individuals with the communications device, where the citizen feedback includes a compatibility score indicating an aesthetical harmony between at least two buildings in the images and a building suggestion. The citizen feedback is stored in an electronic database. Building scores for candidate building interventions are generated with a processor based on the citizen feedback and costs of the candidate building interventions. Each candidate building intervention includes a building style and a building cost. The generating of the building scores includes generating a compatibility score for a candidate building intervention.
