  • Patent number: 7481060
Abstract: A power plant comprises an air-breathing combustion engine having an air inlet and an inflow duct arranged upstream of the air inlet, as well as an atomization device arranged in the inflow duct. In a method for operating this power plant, a liquid is injected into the inflow duct in the atomization device. During the injection, at least the temperature of the atomization liquid which is to be injected upstream of the atomization device or the temperature in the inflow duct downstream of the atomization device is measured. One of these measured temperatures is used as control variable for control of the temperature of the atomization liquid.

  • Publication number: 20080156612
Abstract: The invention relates to an article-dispensing machine. The inventive machine comprises: a structure (1), a removable container (2) for articles, and a dispensing mechanism on the base of the container (2), which is actuated by an actuation shaft that is coupled to the shaft of a coin or token selector (6) which is mounted in the structure (1) in order to dispense one or more articles from the container (2) through a delivery outlet (7) following the introduction of one or more coins or tokens. According to the invention, when the door (15) is in the closed position, a single closure device (55), which is associated with said door (15), can be used to lock the container (2), the coin selector (6) and a coin or token collection box (52) in the respective operating positions thereof. When the aforementioned door (15) is open, the container (2) can be refilled or removed, the coin selector (6) can be removed and the collection box (52) can be accessed without the use of tools.

  • Patent number: 7340902
Abstract: When operating an air-breathing engine, a liquid is injected in atomized form into an air intake duct of the engine. A measurement apparatus for determining the injected drop size or the drop concentration is arranged in or on the intake duct downstream of the location of the injection. These measured values are input into a control system, which controls suitable parameters of the injection apparatus in such a manner that the determined variables are controlled to desired values or into desired value ranges.

  • Publication number: 20070266493
Abstract: 1. This new invention is a one size, stretch to fit, disposable scented or fragranced sanitation disposable paper cover device for use in restrooms, to cover the tops of toilets, urinals and lavatories that require maintenance. The disposable paper cover device referred to as “SANI-BONNET”, consists of a disposable scented paper fabric material, gathered on the underside towards the center by an expandable band of material such as elastic that is sewn-in or secured continually along the underside edge of the paper fabric material to form a smaller inner circular or oval opening than the whole of the paper fabric material, thereby drawing the edging of the disposable paper fabric material towards the center underside to allow the paper fabric like material to be stretched to a larger opening to fit over the tops of toilets, urinals and lavatories that require maintenance. a.

  • Patent number: 7269954
Abstract: A method for operating a gas turbine installation (1) includes sucking in a gaseous medium (2) by the compressor (3) and compressed in the compressor space, a liquid medium (10) being injected into the gaseous medium (2), so that a two-phase flow comprising a gaseous phase and a liquid phase is formed at least in a subregion of the compressor (3). The gaseous medium (2) is then burnt with fuel (5) in a combustion chamber (6) to form hot gases (7), and the hot gases (7) are expanded in a turbine (8), the hot components of the gas turbine installation (1) being cooled by cooling air (14) of a cooling air system. A measurement is carried out to determine whether a liquid phase is present in a region of the compressor (3) and/or of the cooling air system.

  • Patent number: 7093450
Abstract: In a method of operating a compressor, a gaseous medium is compressed in a first compressor stage. The partially compressed medium is sent from the first compressor stage into an intermediate cooler where it is cooled before being directed into the second compressor stage where it is compressed further. A liquid medium is sprayed into the gaseous medium in the intermediate cooler so that a two-phase mixture with a liquid phase and a gaseous phase is formed in the intermediate cooler. The liquid phase is separated again before adding it to the second compressor stage.
