  • Patent number: 11834297
Abstract: An elevator cabin seal for an elevator is described. The elevator cabin seal includes a plate having a plate interior surface, a seal member, and a plurality of adjustment members. The seal member has a seal member interior surface and a seal member top surface contiguous with the seal member interior surface. The seal member top surface is coupled to the plate interior surface. Each adjustment member of the plurality of adjustment members is coupled to the plate interior surface and contacts the seal member interior surface to exert an adjustable force against the seal member interior surface.

  • Patent number: 11780707
Abstract: A cabin guide assembly is described. The cabin guide assembly includes a material layer that has a first material layer surface and a guide that has a first guide surface and a second guide surface opposite the first guide surface. The second guide surface is coupled to the first material layer surface. The cabin guide assembly further includes a base coupled to at least a portion of the first guide surface and one or more adjustment members coupled to the base and arranged to exert an adjustable force against the guide and the material layer.

  • Patent number: 10351388
Abstract: A first adjustable cabin rail guide is moveably attached to a structural member of an elevator cabin. A second adjustable cabin rail guide is similarly moveably attached to a structural member of an elevator cabin. The first and second adjustable cabin rail guides cooperate together to reduce sound and increase operational efficiency. A piece of textile or similar material is attached to a tube forming the friction portion of the guide. The use of textile thereby reduces the sound of the travel upon the rail associated with the inner portion of the elevator cylinder as the cabin transits therein.

  • Patent number: 10233055
Abstract: A pneumatic vacuum elevator cylinder has a cabin inserted therein. A structural plate of the cabin has a liner attached thereto. This liner has an integral bumper formed on an external surface thereof for impact the inner surfaces of the pneumatic vacuum elevator cylinder. The bumpers have a variety of features that facilitate the smooth ride of the cabin within the elevator cylinder.

  • Patent number: 10106375
Abstract: A Split Vacuum Elevator System has a channel connecting a vacuum elevator cylinder or thoroughfare to an electric equipment housing having motors and valves for the operation thereof. The channel is attached at a top of the elevator thoroughfare through a raised protrusion (or more raised protrusions if there are more then one channel) in a sealing plate that is itself attached to the support structure of the thoroughfare. The other side of the channel is connected to an air buffer known as a collector. This collector has one or more protrusions to connect to one or more channels. A raised lip on the collector facilitates the attachment of the housing thereto.

  • Patent number: 9248995
Abstract: A pneumatic vacuum valve is situated atop a cylinder or convenient working space utilized in conjunction with a pneumatic elevator. The vacuum valve has a coupling unit holding a diaphragm device for actuation of the diaphragm against a flow control opening. An Allen screw uses a simple regulation device to control the flow of air into a working chamber for expansion and contraction of the diaphragm device.

  • Patent number: 9162848
Abstract: A set of four brake assemblies are arranged to grasp a guide railing in a pneumatic vacuum elevator cylinder. The brake assemblies are each attached to a seal of the cabin or vehicular compartment traveling within the cylinder and to a structural support member within the vehicle. Additionally, each set has a pair of brakes utilizing a spring actuated shaft indirectly connected to the cabin seal through a lever attached to the brake back plate. This lever acts on a rod device directly connected to the cabin seal in order to take advantage of a pressure differential for the opening and closing of the individual brakes.
