  • Publication number: 20230254379
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to facilitate infrastructure and policy orchestration in a shared workspace network environment. In one example, a method may include obtaining, by a service broker, a reservation request from a consumer network for a consumer, wherein the reservation request seeks a reservation to reserve, at least in part, at least one workspace device for the consumer for a workspace for a particular day and a particular time period; based on determining that the at least one workspace device is available, providing a response to the consumer network that includes a first indicator for identifying the reservation of the workspace and at least one second indicator identifying the at least one workspace device; and upon receiving a session request from the consumer network that includes the second indicator, establishing a management tunnel to interconnect the consumer network and the at least one workspace device via the service broker.

  • Patent number: 11722359
Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for detecting drift in predictive models for network devices and traffic. A plurality of streams of time-series telemetry data are obtained, the time-series telemetry data generated by network devices of a data network. The plurality of streams are analyzed to identify a subset of streams, wherein each stream of the subset of streams includes telemetry data that is substantially empirically distributed. The subset of streams of time-series data are analyzed to identify a change point. In response to identifying the change point, additional time-series data is obtained from one or more streams of the plurality of streams of time-series telemetry data. A predictive model is trained using the additional time-series data to update the predictive model and provide a trained predictive model.

  • Patent number: 11716274
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for monitoring expected behavior of devices in a computing network. Behavior of network devices may include performing various functions associated with transferring data packets through the computing network. Monitoring expected behavior may include sending a probe packet into the computing network, and determining whether network devices behave as expected with respect to the probe packet. In some examples, behaviors such as replicating, forwarding, eliminating, ordering, and/or other functions regarding data packets may be validated using the present techniques. As computing networks and/or operations become more complex, assuring the expected behavior of network devices may become more important for the continued efficient, smooth, successful, and/or timely flow of data traffic.

  • Patent number: 11716264
Abstract: The present technology is directed to a system and method for automatic triggering of relevant code segments corresponding to a sequence of code segments or function codes having a preferred execution order. The automatic triggering action is based on the snooping of a response generated from an execution of a previous code segment. Information with respect to the next code segment in the preferred execution order may be obtained by directing a network proxy, such as Envoy to snoop the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) field of a response packet being forwarded to a client entity. In this way, a network proxy may preemptively spawn and instantiate the following function codes (pointed to by the snooped Uniform Resource Identifier) prior to receiving the corresponding client request. As such, by the time a client request for the subsequent function code is received the code ready for execution.

  • Patent number: 11711288
Abstract: A network device receives a data packet including a source address and a destination address. The network device drops the data packet before it reaches the destination address and generates an error message indicating that the data packet has been dropped. The network device encapsulates the error message with a segment routing header comprising a list of segments. The first segment of the list of segments in the segment routing header identifies a remote server, and at least one additional segment is an instruction for handling the error message. The network device sends the encapsulated error message to the remote server based on the first segment of the segment routing header.

  • Patent number: 11687798
Abstract: In one embodiment, a deep fusion reasoning engine receives network telemetry data collected from a network. The deep fusion reasoning engine learns resource utilizations for different heuristic packages that can be used in the network to evaluate operation of the network. The deep fusion reasoning engine selects one of the heuristic packages based on the resource utilizations learned for the different heuristic packages. The selected heuristic package comprises a subservice and a set of rules to be evaluated. The deep fusion reasoning engine deploys the selected heuristic package for execution by a device in the network to evaluate operation of the network using the set of rules.

  • Patent number: 11681813
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for context-based transfer and access of data include a producer which receives a request from a consumer to access a data block. The producer verifies whether a context associated with the consumer will allow access the data block, by providing a challenge to the consumer and obtaining a response, the response including a certification that the context associated with the consumer will allow the consumer to access the data block. Upon verifying that the context allows the consumer to access the data block, the producer transfers a data capsule, the data capsule including an encrypted version of the data block and a micro agent for monitoring access to the data block. The micro agent can interact with an operating system at the consumer to allow decryption and local access of the data block upon the data capsule being transferred.

  • Patent number: 11678228
Abstract: In one illustrative example, a user plane (UP) entity for use in a mobile network may receive a data packet from a user equipment (UE) operative to communicate in one or more sessions via a serving base station (BS) (e.g. eNB or gNB) of the mobile network. The UP entity may detect, in a header (e.g. SRH) of the data packet, an identifier indicating a new serving BS or session of the UE. The identifier may be UE- or BS-added data (e.g. iOAM data) that is inserted in the header by the UE or BS. In response, the UP entity may cause a message to be sent to an analytics function (e.g. a NWDAF) to perform analytics for session or flow migration for the UE.

  • Publication number: 20230179471
Abstract: Techniques for identifying nodes in a data center fabric that are affected by a failure in the fabric, and selectively sending disaggregation advertisements to the nodes affected by the failure. The techniques include a process where a component monitors the network fabric to identify communication paths between leaf nodes, and determines what leaf nodes would be affected by a failure in those communication paths. The component may detect a failure in the network and determine which communication paths, and thus which leaf nodes, are affected by the failure and send disaggregation advertisements to the affected leaf nodes. In some examples, ingress leaf nodes send data through the fabric that indicate egress nodes for the communication paths. Intermediate nodes along may receive the data from the leaf nodes to identify communication paths, and the notify only affected nodes upon detecting a failure in the network.

  • Publication number: 20230118375
Abstract: A method for resuming a Transport Layer Security (TLS) session in a Service Function Chain comprising a plurality of Service Function nodes coupled to a Service Function Forwarder. A request is received at a first Service Function node to establish a TLS session, and a Pre-Shared Key (PSK) and a PSK identifier that uniquely correspond to the first Service Function node and the TLS session are generated. The PSK identifier is forwarded to one or more of the Service Function Forwarder and the plurality of Service Function nodes. A request to resume the TLS session is received from a client device that previously disconnected. It is determined that the connection request contains the PSK identifier, a second Service Function node is selected, and the TLS session is re-established between the client device and the second Service Function node using the same PSK as the prior TLS session.
