    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide for methods of producing a composition comprising a crosslinkable silane-terminated polymer having at least one crosslinkable silyl group in each molecule. The method comprises providing a polymer having at least one unsaturated group and at least one alcoholic hydroxyl group in each molecule, adding to the polymer a compound having a hydrogen-silicon bond and a crosslinkable silyl group in each molecule and a hydrosilylation catalyst to thereby carry out a hydrosilylation reaction to form a composition comprising hydrosilylated polyoxyalkylene polymers, reacting the hydrosilylated polyoxyalkylene polymers with at least one isocyanate in the presence of a first tin-free catalyst to form an isocyanate reacted hydrosilylated polymer, and optionally reacting the isocyanate reacted hydrosilylated polymer with a polyol having a nominal functionality of at least 2 to form a polyol reacted crosslinkable silane-terminated polymer.

    Abstract: A digital input to a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is divided into a most significant portion and a lesser significant portion. At least one tap voltage generator generates a plurality of voltages, preferably using a resistor string. A decoder decodes at least one sub-word that forms the lesser significant portion to generate a corresponding at least one control signal. A switching unit accesses voltages generated by the at least one tap voltage generator in response to the at least one control signal. A scaled current generator generates a respective weighted current from each accessed voltage. An output stage combines all the weighted currents with a voltage that is an analog representation of the most significant portion of the digital input to generate an analog approximation of the entire digital input.

Such elastomers are the reaction product of (a) an ambient temperature liquid epoxy-terminated prepolymer formed by reacting a polyoxyalkyleneamine having a molecular weight of from 3000 to 20,000 with an excess of epoxide, wherein the polyoxyalkyleneamine has at least 3 active hydrogen atoms and (b) a curing agent comprising at least one amine or polyamine having an equivalent weight of less than 200 and having 2 to 5 active hydrogen atoms. Such elastomers can be used in applications such as for sealants, adhesives, coatings, gaskets, jointing and cast elastomers.

    Abstract: A load-restraining barrier net for use in a motor vehicle capable of securing cargo within the trunk area of a vehicle in accordance with established safety requirements. The barrier net includes a body primarily made up of diamond/square or hexagon shaped netting, frame strap webbings around the perimeter of the net, and at least two horizontal and at least two vertical central strap webbings across the center of the net. The net is securely affixed on one side through a first set of attachments including oval rings bolted to the vehicle. These attachments prevent the cargo from slipping below the net to an unsecured position. Further, corner oval rings act as the joint attachment for the vertical and horizontal frame strap webbings, allowing the barrier net to withstand angular momentum from inertial forces. A second, releasable, set of attachments including hooks and/or D-ring connections that attach to D-rings and/or fasteners pre-installed in the vehicle.

    Abstract: A computer mouse for generating and delivering control signals to a computer includes a foot-operated device having a housing with a top foot engaging surface, a bottom surface and an interior with one or more rollers rotatably captivated therein and disposed in moving engagement with a fixed surface. Movement of the user's foot is transmitted to the rollers, causing rotation of the rollers in a direction corresponding with the direction of foot movement. Detectors within the housing sense movement of the rollers in the x and y directions and translate the roller motion into electrical signals by generating pulses. A micro controller receives and interprets the pulses to determine linear direction of movement of the rollers in the x and y direction and transmits the interpreted data to a computer. Mechanical clicking operation is provided, wherein the one or more rollers are axially moved in response to downward force of the user's foot on the mouse, causing a switch to be operated momentarily to an on state.
