  • Publication number: 20240159660
Abstract: A method for determining whether crude oil has been produced from a hydrocarbon reservoir wellbore that has been drilled using an oil-based mud (OBM). The method includes proving the OBM which contains a tracer, filtering the OBM to obtain an OBM filtrate comprising the tracer, determining a baseline absorbance value for the OBM filtrate containing the tracer, determining a baseline absorbance value for the crude oil, introducing the OBM filtrate into a hydrocarbon reservoir wellbore, conducting a wellbore operation with the OBM, producing a sample from the well, measuring a measured absorbance value for the sample, and comparing the measured absorbance value with the baseline absorbance values for the OBM filtrate and the baseline absorbance value for the crude oil to determine whether crude oil is present in the sample.

  • Patent number: 11248746
Abstract: A system that can eliminate engine combustion emissions in addition to raw and fugitive methane emissions associated with a gas compressor package. The system may comprise an air system for starting and instrumentation air supply; electrically operated engine pre/post-lube pump, compressor pre-lube pump, and cooler louver actuators; compressor distance piece and pressure packing recovery system; blow-down recovery system; engine crankcase vent recovery system; a methane leak detection system; and an overall remote monitoring system.

  • Publication number: 20110014315
Abstract: A resin infusion system uses a housing that has an upper flexible diaphragm and a lower flexible diaphragm such that the two diaphragms form a cavity. A fiber reinforcement mat is positioned within the cavity as is an optional paint film. A mold is positioned below the lower diaphragm. A flow plate has a series of V-shaped grooves is positioned either underneath the lower diaphragm or overtop the upper diaphragm so that the grooves press into the respective diaphragm. A vacuum is created within the cavity causing resin to be drawn into the cavity with the resin interacting with the grooves increasing the turbulence of the resin flow. Once the reinforcement mat is properly wetted, a vacuum is created within the housing, the temperature is increased within the housing, the mold is pressed into the lower diaphragm while a vacuum is created within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20050186535
Abstract: A rubber dam frame may be used to isolate a tooth or teeth during a dental procedure. The rubber dam frame includes a bendable support member. The bendable support member allows the dental practitioner to adjust the device to be more comfortable for the patient. In addition, the bendable support member and dam may be bent out of the way to allow the dental practitioner to have access to a portion of the patient's mouth to take an x-ray or for any other procedure. The frame includes barbs for holding a rubber sheet. The support member may be formed of aluminum or another malleable metal material. It may be anodized or otherwise surface treated.

  • Publication number: 20050185767
Abstract: An x-ray positioning device that allows a dental practitioner to adjust the x-ray beam horizontally and vertically relative to the center of the radiographic film with a great degree of precision. The device includes a frame, a bite block connected to the frame, an aiming ring connected to the frame, and an image receptor holder that is also connected to the frame. The aiming ring and image receptor holder are adjustable so as to allow the x-ray beam directed through the aiming ring to be adjustable horizontally and vertically relative to the center of an image receptor (e.g. a radiographic film packet) retained by the image receptor holder.
