  • Publication number: 20140352878
Abstract: The invention provides a new method and apparatus for continuously coating solid dosage forms such as caplets by aligning and dispensing multiple solid dosage forms between two sheets of coating material as they enter cavities of a mold. The coating sheets must be flexible and ductile to practice the invention and must adhere to each other and to the solid dosage form, either because of their self-adhering nature or because of an additional adhering agent present in or on the coating sheet. The present invention also relates to a method and apparatus for orienting and molding an array of small solid products between two sheets, for example, in packaging. The present invention also related to a method for using material fabricated into a flexible, ductile sheet to coat solid objects in a mold. The apparatus of this invention can be linked to an overall system for continuously making coated solid dosage forms or other coated or packaged items.

  • Patent number: 8333602
Abstract: A socket assembly includes a rotor, a housing, and first and second conductors. The rotor includes a channel formed therein and defines an axis of rotation. The channel has a length about perpendicular to the axis of rotation and defines first and second ends. The housing receives the rotor such that the rotor is rotatable about its axis of rotation between first and second positions when secured therein. The housing includes a notch. The channel of the rotor aligns with the notch of the housing when in the first position such that first and second lamp pins can be received through the notch of the housing and into the channel of the rotor. The first conductor has first and second ends each disposed on opposite sides of the rotor. The first end of the conductor contacts the first lamp pin when the rotor is in the second position and the second end of the conductor contacts the second lamp pin when the rotor is in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20120307524
Abstract: A lampholder assembly is provided which includes first and second lampholders. The first lampholder includes first and second electrical connectors for electrically connecting a first end of an LED lamp to a host voltage supply-line and neutral-line, respectively, and preventing improper coupling to the voltage supply-line. The second lampholder includes a first plunger component for coupling to a second end of the LED lamp and cooperating with a second plunger component provided on the second end of the LED lamp for biasing at least one of the first and second plunger components to generate a force for supporting the LED lamp in an installation position. The first lampholder engages the LED lamp only when the LED lamp is oriented in the installation position so that the first and second electrical connectors electrically connect the LED lamp to the voltage supply-line and neutral return-line, respectively, for operating the LED lamp.
