  • Patent number: 11509093
Abstract: A connector assembly device includes a connector element and a connector position assurance (CPA) device mounted to move relative to the connector element between a delivery position and a locking position. The connector element includes a first locking device and a second locking device. The CPA device includes a locking lance that has an associated first locking device configured to implement a first form-fitting connection with the first locking device of the connector element and an associated second locking device configured to implement a second form-fitting connection with the second locking device of the connector element in the locking position. The form-fitting connections prevent any movement of the CPA device in a direction from the locking position towards the delivery position and take place in different planes.

  • Patent number: 10116091
Abstract: A connector position assurance device for an electrical connector comprises a body and a locking lance. The body has a body recess. The locking lance extends along a length of the body and has a fixed end fixed to the body and a lance head opposite the fixed end. The lance head is aligned with the body recess and is resiliently deflected from an undeformed position into the body recess.

  • Patent number: 9502785
Abstract: An electrical terminal is disclosed having a crimp barrel. The crimp barrel has a base; and opposing side walls extending from the base and each has an opposing end region. The opposing side walls have a conductor receiving region in which the sidewalls have an F-crimp when crimped to stripped conductors of a wire; a wire insulation receiving region for receiving an insulation covered portion of the wire; and a transition region positioned between the conductor receiving region, and the wire insulation receiving region. The opposing end regions in the transition region are overlapped in the circumferential direction when crimped to surround the wire.
