  • Publication number: 20150272504
Abstract: Analysis of keystroke dynamics performed by an individual can be used for assessment and monitoring of the individual's motor function. Keystroke events related to a user pressing one or more keys on a keyboard or regions on a touch screen may be analyzed to identify a plurality of distributions of keystroke event intervals. The plurality of distributions may be analyzed to identify one or more features indicative of variation among the distributions and indicative of the user's motor function. Monitoring of a user's motor function may include comparing a value for a feature for one plurality of distribution to a second value for the same feature for another plurality of distributions.

  • Publication number: 20140147719
Abstract: A flexible battery jacket adapted to combine two or more batteries for forming a low profile power-pack assembly. The battery jacket folds about the two or more batteries and connects respective positive and negative terminals of the batteries at one or more contacts of the battery jacket. The contacts are coupled to conductors which communicate the power to a positive and a negative supply terminal, respectively, on a single portion of the battery jacket assembly. In this regard, the flexible battery jacket combines two or more batteries in parallel or series configuration and provides supply terminals on a single substrate surface for easily connecting with an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 7960025
Abstract: The invention relates to nanoparticles of noble metals, having a controlled microstructure which leads to the appearance of ferromagnetic behaviour in said nanoparticles, thereby enabling the use of very small magnets (<5 nm) in a range in which standard ferromagnetic metals behave as superparamagnetic entitles (disappearance of hysteresis cycle). The inventive nanoparticles can be used, for example, to reduce the dimensions in magnetic recordings, as well as in biomedicine as tools for biomolecule recognition, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, drug-release control or hypothermia treatments.

  • Patent number: 7692759
Abstract: A polarization grating comprising a polarization sensitive photo-alignment layer (2) and a liquid crystal composition (3) arranged on said photo-alignment layer is provided. An alignment pattern, corresponding to the polarization pattern of a hologram, is recorded in the photo-alignment layer, and the liquid crystal composition is aligned on the photo-alignment layer. As the origin for the alignment of the liquid crystal composition is a polarization hologram recorded in a photo-alignment layer, an essentially defect-free pattern can be obtained with this approach.
