  • Patent number: 12059953
Abstract: A composite tank for a reusable launch vehicle comprises a composite wall, having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The composite wall comprises a first end, a second end, a central axis, which passes through the first end and through the second end, and a cylindrical interior surface. The composite tank also comprises slosh baffles, formed from a second material, having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is different from the first coefficient of thermal expansion. Each of the slosh baffles is attached to the cylindrical interior surface of the composite wall. Each of the slosh baffles is annular and is separated from the cylindrical interior surface of the composite wall by a radial gap, selected, in part, based on a difference between the first coefficient of thermal expansion and the second coefficient of thermal expansion. The radial gap is configured to change responsive to changes in temperature of the composite tank.

  • Patent number: 12058031
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for communicating a hybrid user equipment with an Internet server, whereby a hybrid access gateway receives a multi-path request from a user plane system, transmits the multipath request toward an Internet server, and receives a corresponding response from the Internet server. If the received response is a single-path response, the hybrid access gateway assumes the Internet server does not support multi-path, activates a proxy function for the session and transmits a multi-path response for the received single-path response toward the user plane system, and the latter marks transmitting further multi-path requests for this session toward the hybrid access gateway.

  • Publication number: 20230273180
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems, and techniques relating to hydrocarbon-bearing formation testing and, particularly, to estimating a formation condition. The disclosed methods, systems, and techniques allow for improved prediction of the formation condition and cleanout of the formation following well drilling. In some cases, the disclosed methods, systems, and techniques include using a formation testing tool to obtain a sampled fluid from a formation according to a set of sampling parameters and using the formation testing tool to analyze the sampled fluid to identify a set of fluid parameters for the sampled fluid. A numerical model may be used to determine a formation condition with inputs including the sampling parameters and the fluid parameters.

  • Publication number: 20230267392
Abstract: A computing system such as a back-end platform for construction management software may employ a predictive model to provide individuals responsible for overseeing a construction project with a prediction of a “risk level” for a punch item, which indicates a risk of the punch item not being completed by the punch item's target completion date. Such a predictive model may be defined based on historical-punch-items data. After defining the predictive model, the computing system may receive data defining a given punch item and input such data into the predictive model, which may in turn output a given predicted risk level for the given punch item. Thereafter, the computing system may cause a client station to display an indication of the given predicted risk level for the given punch item.

  • Publication number: 20230056817
Abstract: A cryogenic system cools and operates cryogenic electronics. The cryogenic system includes a cryogenic stage or multiple cryogenic stages for cooling the cryogenic electronics to an operational cryogenic temperature. The cryogenic stage or stages transfer heat from the cryogenic electronics to an ambient environment. An optical fiber or multiple optical fibers deliver an operational power from the ambient environment to the cryogenic electronics and transfer communication data between the cryogenic electronics and the ambient environment. Preferably, the only connection delivering any power from the ambient environment to the cryogenic electronics or transferring any data from the cryogenic electronics to the ambient environment is the optical fiber or fibers, such that the cryogenic system does not include any electrically conductive wires spanning between the ambient environment and the cryogenic electronics.
