Abstract: A surgical instrument for the nondestructive removal of screws or fasteners, the device includes an elongated body having a first end including a handle portion and a second end including a screw engaging portion, the first end is offset at an angle to the second end, the screw engaging portion is a bifurcated protrusion that includes a first part and a second part wherein the first and second parts define a generally V-shaped groove; the protrusion has an exterior surface that is biocompatible and retains a cutting edge, the instrument is configured for impaction and bending resistance.

Abstract: A surgical instrument for the removal of cannulated screws or members, the device includes an elongated body comprising a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a screw tip contact member disposed proximate the second end. The elongated body is formed of a resilient material. The elongated body has a first longitudinal axis and the elongated body further has a portion proximate the screw tip contact member that is canted relative to the longitudinal axis. Methods of using the device to remove a cannulated bone screw from bone are also provided.

Abstract: A device for removing infected tissue from a patient is provided. The device includes a handle body attached to a curette. The handle body comprises first and second channels extending therethrough. The curette comprises third and fourth channels extending therethrough. The first and third channels are disposed in fluid communication. The second and fourth channels are disposed in fluid communication. The curette comprises a generally cup-shaped curette head having a scraping edge at one end. The third and fourth channels comprise openings disposed proximate or within the curette head. Methods of using the device to remove infected tissue from a patient are disclosed.
