Abstract: The invention relates to compositions comprising (A) polydiorganosiloxanes containing vinyl groups, (B) polyorganohydrogensiloxanes, (C) platinum catalysts, and (D) a saturated polyhydric alcohol having at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule, which can be cured at temperatures of from room temperature to over 100.degree. C. by the addition of the Si-bonded H atoms in the polyorganohydrogensiloxane (B) to the vinyl groups in the polydiorganosiloxanes (A) with the aid of the platinum catalysts (C), to form elastomeric foams. The density and type of pores may be controlled by compound (D) containing hydroxyl groups as a "blowing agent".

Abstract: Organosilicon compounds and organopolysiloxane compositions which are crosslinked by the addition of Si-bonded hydrogen with SiC-bonded vinyl groups and contain the organosilicon compounds as additives for improving the adhesion of the resultant elastomers on the substrates on which they are formed.

Abstract: Flame-resistant molding compositions are prepared by adding at least one substance selected from the class consisting of (a) oxides or hydroxides of the rare earth metals, (b) graphite, or (c) precious metals or their compounds or complexes and mixtures of (a), (b) or (c) to a composition containing mixtures of organic polymers other than diorganopolysiloxanes and diorganopolysiloxanes. Although it is not essential, silicon dioxide having a surface area of at least 50 m.sup.2 /g and crosslinking agents may be incorporated in these molding compositions.
