  • Patent number: 10552273
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for removes and/or adding log and/or cache devices to storage pools of a storage appliance. Users, via a graphical-user interface, identify the log and/or cache devices for removal or addition. Subsequently, the log and/or cache devices are moved, according to a data profile corresponding to the devices, from a first storage appliance to a second storage appliance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 21, 2018
Date of Patent: February 4, 2020
    Assignee: Oracle International Corporation
Inventors: Apoorva Vennavaram Gade, Juan Carlos Zuluaga
  • Patent number: 10216426
Abstract: Systems and methods for increasing scalability and reducing latency in relation to managing large numbers of storage arrays of a storage network. Separate, dedicated, communication channels may be established between an array manager running on a server and each of a number of storage arrays for respectively performing reading and writing operations to limit the delays imposed by repeated array connection setup and teardown and improve array communication stability (e.g., as compared to performing read/write operations over the same array connection). The read connection can be used to maintain current state information (e.g., volumes, capacities, and the like) for a plurality of storage arrays in a local cache of the array manager that can be quickly accessed by the array manager, such as for presenting substantially current, summary-type state information of the various storage arrays to a user (e.g., upon the user requesting to configure a particular storage array).

  • Publication number: 20160364726
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing transactions made at various merchants to payment accounts issued by other different merchants. One exemplary method generally includes receiving a charge request from a first merchant, relating to a transaction for a product at the first merchant between the first merchant and a consumer, where the charge request includes an identifier associated with a payment account used by the consumer in the transaction and issued by a second merchant. The method also generally includes determining, at a computing device, based on the identifier, a uniform account number (UAN) for the payment account where the UAN is unique to the payment account and defining a format different than a format of the identifier, and then causing, based on the determined UAN, a balance of the payment account to be altered.
