    Abstract: A method of compensating phase error of a received signal is disclosed. The signal comprises a symbol set comprising a plurality of symbols of a first type having an N-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation, N-QAM, signal configuration, where N is an integer larger than 4, and at least one symbol of a second type having an Amplitude and Phase-Shift Keying, A-PSK, signal configuration, wherein both the symbols of the first type and of the second type carries data and wherein the symbols of the second type also are arranged as pilot symbols for determination of phase rotation determination. A receiver and transmitter, as well as a communication system, employing the symbol set are disclosed.

    Abstract: A received signal level is controlled in a node used in a point to multi-point (PmP) radio-communication system having microwave time division multiple access (TDMA). Local node control is activated by an AGC in the receiving node, and simultaneously, a radio control loop is activated from the receiving node to each terminal regulating each terminal's transmitted power level. The receiving node AGC reconfigures quickly and is both accurate and stable.

    Abstract: The invention refers to a method for controlling the signal level in point to multi-point (PmP) radio-communication systems having microwave time division multiple access (TDMA), according to which a local control is activated by a particular AGC (5) in the receiver of the node (1) and simultaneously a radio control loop (9) is activated, from the node (1) to each terminal (2, 3, 4) regulating the transmitted power level. The AGC (5) employed in the receiver of the node (1) is a circuit both fast in re-configuration, and accurate and stable in the working phases.
