  • Patent number: 6995330
Abstract: A high for medium voltage gas insulated earthing switch comprises at least one conducting bar in an enclosure, with a corresponding earthing contact and a phase contact fixed to the said bar that will be electrically connected to the earthing contact to earth the said bar. The earthing contact is installed fixed in the enclosure facing the phase contact, leaving a free space (E) between this phase contact and the earthing contact. A switching element is installed free to move in the enclosure between the phase contact and the earthing contact, and comprises firstly a switching contact that short circuits the space left free (E) to electrically connect the earthing contact and the phase contact when the earthing switch is closed, and secondly an at least partly electrically insulating support on which the switching contact is fixed such that the switching contact is electrically isolated from the phase contact and from the earthing contact when the earthing switch is in an open position.

  • Patent number: 6355898
Abstract: A fast control device for high-voltage switchgear, in particular a grounding disconnector which is equipped with a moving contact, which fast control device comprises a spring for storing mechanical energy, a cocking mechanism for cocking the spring and comprising an electric motor organized to rotate at least one rotary part organized to take up two stable positions corresponding respectively to the spring being cocked and to the spring being not cocked, said cocking mechanism being provided with a connection rod coupled to an actuating mechanism for actuating a moving contact, the connection rod being associated with a brake shock-absorber device. This brake shock-absorber device comprises at least one hydraulic shock-absorber co-operating with the connection rod and secured to the housing of the device via a spring member. By means of this brake shock-absorber device, the control device is effective, reliable, and its cost is particularly advantageous.

  • Patent number: 6013886
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-speed control device for a high voltage connection apparatus, in particular a ground disconnector, which apparatus is fitted with a moving contact. The device comprises a spring for storing mechanical energy, a cocking mechanism for cocking the spring and comprising an electric motor organized to drive a first rotary part, a pivot arm, a second rotary part, and a latch organized to cooperate with said second rotary part to define two stable positions. The pivot arm carries the first pin organized to co-operate with two bearing surfaces of said first rotary part, and a second pin organized to co-operate with the two bearing surfaces of said second rotary part. The device makes it possible to obtain two stable latching points that are disposed at 180.degree. from each other.

  • Patent number: 6014072
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas-insulated current transformer of simple structure for a single-phase or multi-phase switchgear, which transformer can be made in various dimensions and with magnetic cores of various lengths. The transformer comprises at least one support tube carrying three annular cores carrying respective secondary windings. The windings are superposed and disposed coaxially about the tube, and they are held by a clamping strap. The tube and the windings are disposed inside an enclosure defined by two metal plates constituting a bottom closure end plate and a top closure end plate, and by four metal side walls. The end plates are interconnected by link rods disposed in their corners. The two end plates are fixed to the ends of the rods by screws, and the metal side plates are screwed to said rods.
