    Abstract: A bolt carrier speed control apparatus that is configured to provide adjustable speed control of the bolt carrier during firing of a round of ammunition. The bolt carrier speed control apparatus is configured to be mounted in a first location or a second location. The bolt carrier speed control apparatus includes a body that is cylindrical in form. The body includes and interior volume and further includes a central bore extending longitudinally therethrough. Circumferentially disposed around the central core are a plurality of movement assemblies. The movement assemblies are configured to move in an inward-outward direction that is facilitated by traversal of an adjustment screw through the central bore. The movement assemblies include a wall engagement member that is configured to extend beyond the external surface of the body so as to engage a portion of the firearm and provide speed control of the bolt carrier through added friction.

    Abstract: A bolt carrier for a firearm that includes a rolling element so as to provide improved alignment and reduced friction of the bolt carrier with the upper assembly and buffer tube as the bolt carrier executes a reciprocating motion. The bolt carrier includes a body that is generally cylindrical in shape having a first end and a second end. The body of the bolt carrier includes a first slot and a second slot. The first slot includes an upper opening and a lower opening. The second slot is proximate the second end of the body of the bolt carrier. The second slot includes an upper opening and a lower opening providing access to the interior volume of the second slot. A wheel is rotatably mounted within the second slot. The upper edge and lower edge of the wheel extends beyond the top side and bottom side of the body respectively.

    Abstract: A firearm impingement apparatus that includes a gas flow control member that is operable to provide incremental adjustment of gas flow within the gas block of the firearm impingement apparatus wherein the gas flow control member is configured to provide calibrated rotational movement thereof. The gas flow control member further includes a first portion, second portion and third portion contiguously formed. The first portion includes a plurality of longitudinal indentations circumferentially disposed thereon. The second portion has a diameter that is less than that of said first portion and said second portion. A mounting member is present adjacent an opening of a channel and includes a control pin biasly mounted therein that is operable to engage the gas flow control member. The control pin engages the longitudinal indentations to provide calibrated rotational movement of the gas flow control member.

    Abstract: A firearm impingement apparatus that is operable to divert gas flowing into the gas block of the impingement apparatus in a first direction and a second direction so as to reduce the temperature and contamination thereof. The gas block includes a gas block port line that is in axial alignment with a gas vent tube located on a barrel of a firearm. The gas block further includes a spring valve assembly. The spring valve assembly includes a cylindrical body having a hollow passage with opening on each end. A spring is captively secured within the hollow passage and further biases a ball bearing disposed within the hollow passage against an opening. The ball bearing is movable intermediate a first position and a second position wherein in the second position the ball bearing permits the second direction of gas flow to exit the gas block.

    Abstract: A firearm impingement apparatus that includes a gas flow control member that is operable to provide controlled incremental adjustment of gas flow within the gas block of the firearm impingement apparatus. The firearm impingement apparatus includes a gas block having a port line with an intersecting channel. Rotatably secured within the intersecting channel is a gas flow control member. The gas flow control member includes a first end, a second end and a shaft intermediate thereto. The shaft includes at least three planar sides. A keeper is secured within a mounting member and is positioned such that a portion thereof is biased against the shaft. The keeper is planar in manner and is operable to provide controlled rotation of the gas flow control member within the channel. Further the keeper functions to maintain the position of the gas flow control member.

    Abstract: A reduced friction firearm component that is movably mounted within a firearm wherein that is configured to slidably engage an adjacent element with reduced friction. The reduced friction firearm component further includes a body that is cylindrical in shape. The body includes an exterior surface and further includes a first end and a second end. Formed within the exterior surface of the body are a plurality of grooves. The plurality of grooves extend inward along said body from said first end and said second end. Rotatably mounted within said plurality of grooves are a multitude of ball bearings. A fastener is secured proximate the first end of each of said plurality of grooves that is operable to retain the multitude of ball bearings within said plurality of grooves. The ball bearings function to provide the only point of contact intermediate the reduced friction firearm component and an adjacent element.

The impingement apparatus includes a gas block integrally formed with a barrel-mating sleeve. The gas block includes a gas block port line that is in axial alignment with a gas vent tube located on a barrel of a firearm. The gas block further includes at least one exhaust port fluidly coupled with the gas block port line. Movably secured within the at least one exhaust port is an adjustment screw. The adjustment screw is movable intermediate a first position and a second position so as to facilitate diversion of gas from the gas block at varying volumes.

    Abstract: An adjustable volume gas piston system for a pneumatic reloading firearm includes a gas block having an anchoring portion for anchoring along the barrel. The gas block also includes a chamber portion in pneumatic connection with the barrel. The chamber portion has one end pointing toward the muzzle and another end pointing away from the muzzle. A plug having a bore is affixed to the chamber portion at the forward end. The second end has an opening to allow travel of a gas pin but retains a gas pin head in the chamber portion, biasing it toward the first end. Upon firing the firearm, the volume of the bore causes a pressure delay on the gas pin head, thereby delaying the timing of pneumatic reloading.
