The connecting member affords perpendicular movement of the ruler members providing accurate and consistent measurement of wounds irregular in shape and size. An end of the first or second member is designed to be inserted in the wound to measure the depth and undermining of the wound. Use of the device provides little to no discomfort to the patient.
