Abstract: A method and apparatus for redacting documents is provided herein. During operation, a call is received from a caller and an identity of the caller is determined. Electronic paperwork related to a particular incident is retrieved. Witness statements from the caller along with past correspondences of the caller are analyzed to determine the caller's knowledge of the incident. Redaction of the electronic paperwork then takes place based on the caller's knowledge of the incident. In particular, items such as addresses, phone numbers, times, places, . . . , etc. that are potentially unknown to the caller are redacted so that the called party will not inadvertently disclose this information to the caller.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for better securing databases is provided herein. During a database search, a target of a search (e.g., a person or object) will have a maximum number of allowed searches. When a user performs a search on a target, a determination of how many prior searches on the target object or individual was made. If the number of prior searches exceeds a threshold, then the search will be denied.

During operation, a workflow is automatically generated based upon a camera detecting denial of entry of an individual. The workflow can then be implemented or suggested as a newly-created workflow at other various entry points.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for populating a form with text relevant to past digital-assistant queries is provided herein. During operation, a device will store text related to all digital-assistant queries during a particular incident, and text related to responses to the queries that are initiated during the particular incident. At a later time, when a form is being filled out by an officer, the form will be pre-populated with the text related to the digital-assistant queries and responses. In one embodiment the text related to the digital-assistant queries and responses comprises text of the actual query and text of the actual response.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing prior-caller location and/or identity into a public-safety answering point is provided herein. During operation, a device such as a smart phone will store location and identity information for recently-received calls. If the device places a call to a PSAP within a predetermined amount of time from when the prior call was received at the device, a flag is sent to the PSAP operator notifying the PSAP operator of the prior call. The PSAP operator can then inquire about the prior call. The caller is then allowed to electronically transfer location and identity information related to the prior call to the PSAP operator if they wish to do so.

The electronic processor is further configured to generate a comparison between the first motion characteristic and the second motion characteristic, modify the second video based on the comparison such that the second motion characteristic aligns with the first motion characteristic, and generate, after modifying the second video, a combined video including at least a portion of both the first video and the second video.

During operation, virtual-partner “names” will be determined for each co-located virtual partner. When a task is conveyed to a virtual partner, the virtual partner will perform the task only if its “name” has been called. The “name” of each virtual partner will be associated with a color shown on a device screen (i.e., the device associated with the virtual partner), object shown on a device screen, and/or color of another indicator that is displayed on the device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing video stream data during live video sharing may reduce network bandwidth consumption by streaming full and partial video frames. An image processing device receives information from an image capturing device including a first full video frame, an object of interest identifier, and a movement profile of the image capturing device. The image processing device extracts a background portion from the first full video frame, exclusive of the object of interest. Subsequently, the image processing device receives a partial second video frame including only an object of interest portion, applies a transformation to the extracted background portion based on the movement profile, and displays a representation of the second video frame including the object of interest portion of the second video frame and the transformed background portion. The image processing device performs fine tuning to compensate for small background or movement profile changes between partial frames.
