  • Patent number: 7150578
Abstract: A clamp system for attaching accessory devices to a railing structure includes a first clamping jaw member and a second clamping jaw member designed to clamp on a railing structure. An accessory mounting device includes a cylindrical collar portion with a plurality of diametrically aligned holes arranged around the circumference. One of the clamping jaw members has an opening, sized to receive the collar portion and one pair of holes that can be aligned with the holes of the collar portion. When the mounting device is in a desired orientation, a pin is inserted through the aligned holes to hold the orientation. A locking nut is mounted on a threaded portion of the collar portion and, when tightened, tends to withdraw the collar portion against the pin, firmly securing the assembly together.

  • Patent number: 6921141
Abstract: A water resistant enclosure is provided for devices such as radios which are installed in, for example, marine vehicles where there is constant exposure to moisture, spray, and the like. An enclosure mounts to the vehicle and supports the device. A bezel frame seals the enclosure to a surface of the vehicle and a rotatable window protects the device faceplate and operating controls. The window is manually rotated and latched into a closed configuration. Seals on the bezel frame bear against a front surface of the window and seals on the rear surface of the window bear against an interior surface of the bezel frame. When manually unlatched, the window rotates to its open configuration.

  • Patent number: 4873712
Abstract: A control unit is inserted in the power lines that serve a vehicular telephone and an audio system. A power monitoring circuit detects current increases related to operation of the telephone, either from an incoming "ring" signal or the "off hook" condition in preparation for an outgoing call. The monitoring circuit generates a control signal which is applied to an electronic switching circuit that interrupts the flow of power to the audio system circuits. So long as the telephone is in use, the audio system is disabled. When the telephone returns to the quiescent or stand-by state, the current drawn by the telephone drops substantially below a threshold level of the monitoring circuit and the switching circuit restores the power to the audio system.
