Abstract: An apparatus for the manufacture of curved insulating glass, for use on automobiles, is made providing separate paths for the two sheets of glass making up the insulating double-glazed glass, until an assembly station (M) is reached. Two separate centering stations (D and D1) are also provided. The apparatus has, in the single assembly station (M), a pressing device to press the insulating glass (V) until the desired thickness is obtained.

Abstract: An apparatus, formed by a plurality of devices, permits the automatic glueing of metal bases onto glass windscreens for automobiles. The apparatus is formed by a device for loading the windscreen, a centering device, a device for the hot glueing of a base, and devices for the automatic feeding of the bases. Devices for the unloading of the windscreen and for the supply of bases also form a part of the same apparatus.

Abstract: An apparatus for pressing laminated composites formed of two glass layers and one interposed thin plastic layer presses the glass/plastic composite while the glass/plastic composite is in a vertical position. A horizontal conveyor delivers the composite to the apparatus, and a tipping device places the composite in a vertical position. A suction cup unit, which is rotatably mounted on a supporting shaft, receives the composite from the tipping device. A movable carriage moves the supporting shaft, suction cup unit, and composite to a pair of pressing rolls. The pressing rolls receive the composite therebetween and press the composite layers together. Another rotatably mounted suction cup unit removes the composite from the pressing rolls and delivers the composite to another conveyer. The arrangement allows highly curved glass/plastic composites to be pressed with no risk of breaking the glass and without requiring manual intervention.

Abstract: Handling apparatus for the transfer of sheets, particularly of glass, from a horizontal conveyor belt to a container for vertical sheets and vice versa, comprising a rotating and translating device having transfer arms rotating by about 170.degree., supporting a counter rotating shaft, which supports a frame provided with suction pads, as well as a carriage which supports the container, the container being moved into the required exact loading/unloading relationship by the action of a feeling device which detects the position of the last sheet in the container.
