  • Patent number: 9456799
Abstract: An imaging modality includes a first computer, a second computer, a computer select circuit connected to a manually operable switch and configured to allow an operator to select whether to operate the first computer or the second computer by manually operating the manually operable switch, a single power supply unit configured to supply operating power to the first computer and the second computer; and a power control circuit connected to a power input of the first computer and connected to a power input of the second computer. The power control circuit outputs a trigger signal to activate or deactivate flow of power supply to the second computer in response to first computer receiving a turn ON or turn OFF input.

  • Patent number: 9198270
Abstract: A radiation imaging apparatus includes a console that houses control circuitry and a computer; a radiation source attached to a movable arm, the movable arm being attached orthogonally to a column disposed adjacent to the console; and a wireless communication system that can communicate with a wireless radiation detector. The wireless communication system includes a plurality of antennas each of which is disposed within a predetermined distance from each other; the computer controls the communications system and the radiation detector so that the antennas transmit control signals from the console to the radiation detector or receive image signals from the radiation detector, and the antennas are positioned either within console immediately below a housing thereof or around the column so as to face a usable patient area, the usable patient area being an area surrounding the console where the radiation detector is positioned during an imaging operation.

  • Patent number: 8842966
Abstract: An apparatus configured to record data onto removable storage media, includes: an image receiving interface configured to receive imaging data from an imaging modality, a central processing unit configured to process the image data to generate a study in a standard medical imaging format, and a removable media interface built-in or attached-to the modality and configured to, in response to receiving the study from the central processing unit, automatically start an storage operation to record at least part of the study generated by the central processing unit onto the removable storage media. In one embodiment, the removable media interface receives the study via a localhost address without the use of a physical network between the modality and removable media interface.
