  • Patent number: 7313537
Abstract: A system for reconciling an inventory record having a count of products, pricing, and vintaging assigns a price and vintage for instances written-on to the count when products are found in inventory that are not accounted for by the inventory record. The price and vintage assigned to the instances added to the count are statistically determined from inventory records after outlier values have been removed. The instances with outlier values may also be removed from the inventory record being reconciled prior to comparing the inventory record to a recount of the items in inventory. The representative price and vintage may be stored in a table that is referenced when performing the reconciliation process. A substitution table may also be used to find interchangeable product types and reduce the number of instances to be written-on or written-off.

  • Patent number: 7249070
Abstract: A system for reconciling a central inventory record having a count of products and location assignments for the instances of the count chooses instances for write-ons and write-offs based on the location assignments. When instances are to be written-on to the inventory record due to a shortage of instances in the record, then the added instances are assigned a location by detecting a shortage of instances for a particular location assignment relative to a proportionate amount and providing that location assignment to one or more of the added instances. When instances are to be written-off from the inventory record due to an excess number of instances in the record, the instances are removed by detecting excessive instances for a particular location assignment relative to a proportionate amount and removing one or more instances having that particular location assignment.

  • Patent number: 7117162
Abstract: An outside Plant Construction Management (OSPCM) system simplifies and mechanizes many aspects of operating a facility, such as a Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC). The OSPCM system performs a configuration function and this data is input to the awarded contract which entails breaking the job into its constituent tasks, sequencing the tasks, prioritizing the tasks, and scheduling the tasks. The OSPCM system completes the scheduling task by assigning the tasks to supervisors and/or to outside contractors. The OSPCM system automatically manages the materials required for tasks by determining what and when it is needed, ordering what is available from within inventory, and ordering necessary materials from outside providers. When a task is completed, the contractor accesses the OSPCM system and marks the task as completed. The OSPCM system then forwards invoices to the voucher system for those cases where work is completed as designed.

  • Publication number: 20040215519
Abstract: Inventory reconciliation systems are provided. A representative system, among others, includes a processing logic to analyze a plurality of records, reject logic responsive to the processing logic, operable to reject an action taken on a record by an inventory management system, and accept logic responsive to the processing logic, operable to accept an action taken on a record by the inventory management system. Methods and other systems for network resource management are also provided.
