Methods of ameliorating the formation of mush on a solid cleanser are also disclosed. The method comprises enclosing a solid cleanser within a textured film having texture variations. Another embodiment relates to methods for making a solid cleanser holder. This method comprises enclosing a solid cleanser within a textured film such that the textured film surrounds the solid cleanser. Methods of cleansing and/or exfoliating the skin comprising the use of the solid cleansers described above are also disclosed.
