Abstract: Disclosed is a telecommunication system, method and database for use in providing telecommunication services in connection with a usage limited account. Upon receipt of a request to provide telecommunication services (e.g., to set up a wireless telephone call), it is determined whether the account associated with the service has reached or exceeded a usage limit on the account. If the usage limit has been reached or exceeded, the service may still be provided if the service request satisfies certain predefined service criteria. The predefined service criteria may be configured by the account subscriber, thereby providing greater flexibility in setting up telecommunication services.
