    Abstract: A heat exchanger coil for heating water in a spa or hot tub by transferring heat generated by an electric motor driving a pump to the water in the coil while the pump circulates the water through the spa or hot tub. A restrictor mounted on the shaft of the electric motor creates additional friction between its outer surface and the inner surface of the motor seal to further warm the water.
